Tatum Ott
Ott’s progression immediately grabbed me. I caught her earlier this season yet she has added so much more to her game and her intensity just set it off. She had solid court vision, scored off the dribble using a nice first step, and her pull-up jumper was all nice. To top it off, she did a good job defending “on the ball”
Sophia Fisher
Fisher had plenty of bait and caught my attention early with her variety of fakes, including the HEZ. She created her shot nicely and kept the defender guessing because she could knock down the jumper if they gave her room, yet if they guarded her too tightly, she attacked the rim. She also showed the “catch and shoot”
Emerson Davis
Davis also created her shot well and even did it under pressure while being double-teamed. Her form is nice, and so is her release. She used a deceptive first step to take the defender off the dribble, she also did a good job of rebounding the ball on both ends of the court
Kylie Castaneda
Castaneda BATTLED for everything off the rim and that is always a good sign because it’s something you can’t teach. She also showed the same thing defending as she kept the heat turned up. I also enjoyed her attacking the basket from multiple angles and showing she could finish after the lick
Emma Winans
Winans is “long and athletic” and that will ALWAYS be the base so her rebounding and running the floor on both ends was nice, and so was her defending both in and outside the paint. She showed nice moves around the basket and even handled the ball in the open court
Kat Ford
Ford used her body around the basket to score, this includes after the lick but she also did a good job at positioning which enabled her to rebound, on both ends. Her interior defense was also solid
Kat Lien
Lien also used her body nicely around the basket to score but she showed the pull-up jumper in transition as well as in the set. What I also liked was her handling the ball in transition, as well as her seeing the floor and making the right pass
Kionayh Ochoa
Ochoa did a good job with that “hands and footwork” thing I speak about frequently and that, coupled with her is going to give her some looks. She goes hard on both ends, well she rebounds on both ends and runs the floor
Rain Collins
Collins falls into that #sizedontmatter which I frequently hashtag because she can play. Her creating her shot and getting it off was one thing, yet she also did a good job attacking the basket and seeing the floor
