The Division 2 State Tournament had excellent performances and fun games. Every team had a kid play well at the Resch Center and stand out. This article was the hardest to write because of how many kids were worthy of being on the Division 2 All-Tournament Team, but the list below is what I ended up settling on.

If there was a player of the tournament, I might go with Mallegni, even though she only played one game at the Resch Center. What Mallegni did against Notre Dame was nothing short of spectacular. She finished with 23 points, ten assists, and nine rebounds. That production against one of the best high school teams in the region is unheard of, and she made it look easy.

F: [player_tooltip player_id='209880' first='Gracie' last='Grzesk']

The future Wisconsin Badger was a problem for McFarland and Pewaukee's defense. She may not think she played her best, but her ability to operate anywhere on the floor and move like a wing and her skill to play with her back to the basket caused confusion and mismatches for opposing defenses. She finds ways to help her team win games by any means necessary.

G: [player_tooltip player_id='156066' first='Julianna' last='Ouimette']

Watching the Ouimette family represent Lakeland was a fun experience, even though they lost in the state semifinals against Pewaukee. However, future Lehigh guard [player_tooltip player_id='156066' first='Julianna' last='Ouimette'] was outstanding in the matchup with the Pirates. The senior's final game ended with 30 points, six rebounds, and four assists.

G: [player_tooltip player_id='374229' first='Amy' last='Terrian']

The Pewaukee sophomore is one of the most competitive and skilled people I've met in basketball. She was at her best in the semifinal game, scoring 26 points and getting to her spots whenever she wanted. She spent a stretch of the game utilizing her dribble-pull-up around the free-throw line. Terrian always seems to be two steps ahead of any defense, and she may have five steps ahead of Lakeland in the State Semifinals, or at least it felt that was the case.

G: [player_tooltip player_id='209879' first='Trista' last='Fayta']

There aren't many kids I've enjoyed watching play as much as [player_tooltip player_id='209879' first='Trista' last='Fayta']. She's a natural winner and does anything to help her team finish with more points than the opposing team. She hustles, makes timely shots, creates shots for her teammates, and gets after it on the defensive end. The now back-to-back-to-back state champions are on the brink of accomplishing something that no other team in Wisconsin ever has, winning four in a row.
