Three-point shooting has become a staple of basketball and its being relied upon much more heavily. As a result, we’re seeing a new era of fantastic shooters in the Garden State. Here are players that we think or we know will be joining the 100 three-pointer club come next season.
Julia Karpell Julia Karpell SG St. John Vianney | 2024 State NJ – St. John Vianney (2024)
Karpell came oh so close to hitting the milestone last season for St. John Vianney, finishing the season with 56 three-pointers in 32 games. She currently has 95 for her career and has been spectacular from the perimeter over the past two seasons for the Lancers. Her senior season will not only see her break 100 for her career, but we think she can break her own single-season record.
Yana Shupak Yana Shupak 5'5" | CG Toms River East | 2024 State NJ – Toms River East (2024)
Consistency has been the name of the game for Shupak when it comes to perimeter shooting, recording 30+ made three-pointers in her sophomore and junior years. Her junior season was also her best offensive season for Toms River East as she works her way up the Shore Conference guard totem pole. Sitting at 70 in her career, she’s well on track to hit 100 as a senior.
Molly Frith Molly Frith 5'4" | PG Holy Cross | 2025 State NJ – Holy Cross Prep (2025)
Frith’s transfer to Holy Cross Prep from Delran last season caused some shockwaves in South Jersey, but she’s more than capitalized on the opportunity, knocking down 65 threes and scoring 11.8 PPG for the Lancers as a sophomore. She’s now at 75 threes for her career and should easily hit the mark after averaging a career-best 2.6 threes per game as a sophomore.
Karina Harrison Karina Harrison SG Northern Burlington | 2025 NJ – Northern Burlington (2025)
Harrison is going to have a bit of work to do as a junior to get to 100 three-pointers, but looking at her current trajectory, she has the makeup of someone who is going to have a breakout 2023-24 season. She knocked down a career-high 40 threes this past season, bringing her career total to 64. Along with that, she averaged in double-figures offensively for the second-straight season.
Cate Weinberger Cate Weinberger SG Northern Highlands | 2024 NJ – Northern Highlands (2024)
Weinberger only has two seasons of varsity basketball under her belt following her junior year for Northern Highlands, but wow what a shooter she’s showcased herself to be. Through 53 career games, she has 69 career three-pointers, including a career-high 37 last season for the Highlanders. That leaves her just 31 threes away from hitting 100 in her career, which looking at the past two seasons, she should eclipse.
Faith Erasmo Faith Erasmo SG Fair Lawn | 2024 State NJ – Fair Lawn (2024)
Another junior with two years of varsity experience, Erasmo is not just a probable 100 three-point club member, but has an outside shot of joining the 1000 point club as well. She’s knocked down an average of 41 three-pointers each of her first two years with Fair Lawn, hitting 43 last season. With 82 in her career, hitting the 100 milestone should happen early on next season.
Jaida Guerra Jaida Guerra 5'6" | PG Union City | 2025 State NJ – Union City (2025)
Guerra had a breakout campaign for Union City as a sophomore, averaging 17.8 PPG in 27 games while hitting 54 threes on the year. Despite her having 62 coming into her junior season, her success as a sophomore alone has convinced us that she’ll mow past 100 and start working toward 125. Guerra found that extra gear in her game and it’s paid dividends already.
Morgan Sims Morgan Sims SG Sterling | 2024 NJ – Sterling (2024)
Specialized three-point shooters are the way of the future and Sterling has a good one in Sims, finishing up a junior year where she hit 2 three-pointers a game on average, 56 for the season. Sims now has 86 in her career through two seasons with the Silver Knights and it’s looking like a near-formality that she’ll join the 100 three-pointer club as a senior.
