Mattie Holmes -SETX
Holmes wears number 3 and has red hair, so that sets the stage because yeah, she can drop the long ball and when she gets hot, you can almost forget about it. She thinks the game and doesn’t force shots, in fact, she can not only get hers in the flow but GO COMPLETELY OFF in the flow, that does happen too often but she handles the ball and sees the floor, under pressure and also showed the midrange as well as scoring off the dribble
Paris Nixon-SETX
Nixon takes me back to Watergate so I can drop “I CAN NOT TELL A LIE” about how impressed I am with her game over the past two weekends yet she even managed to show me even more than I had already seen. She understands how to run a team and control the tempo, she sees the floor in the set yet her 30-foot touchdown passes in transition were nice but her”poise under pressure” and her coming through in the clutch, like scoring, which she does mid to long or attacking yet she sets her teammates up for gimmes
Jakaila Lee-Power
Lee was just unconscious from the field and watching her create her shot on Championship Sunday brought back memories of watching her over the years, it’s been around 2 years since I last saw her yet her range has gotten deeper and she understands how to set the defender up to not only get her shot off but drop it with a hand in her face. She showed it in the set, as well as in transition but her first step got her to the basket to score or dish
Kennedy Simpson Kennedy Simpson 5'6" | CG Summer Creek | 2026 State TX -Houston Lady Nets 17U
Simpson has added so much more to her game, her acrobatic finishes are something to see, and so is her ability to take games over, on either end. Mid to long-range is hard to defend because she scores off the dribble so well and she elevates on her jumper. The step back and fadeaway look even better but she can rebound and go coast to coast to score, she also has good timing on defense to block shots yet her on-the-ball pressure as well as playing the playing lane were all really good
Za’Kenya Thompson- Houston Lady Nets 17U
Thompson has also added much more to her impressive game, she went off on her birthday Saturday yet the after-party on Sunday had her still lighting the candles, well nets. She’s so strong and powerful and watching her overpower guards off the dribble and finish after the lick has become common. She also has a nice pull-up jumper off the dribble but she understands how to create her shot and when to take it and that 3 ball was on as well. Solid defender and also rebounds
Treasure Emeh- Houston Lady Nets 17U
Emeh and her “on the ball” pressure was nice, in fact, her defense was smothering but peep this, she has quick hands, that gave her steals, she played the passing lane, which also gave her steals but she uses her athleticism on both ends and in the open court, her “change of pace” is very nice as she scores off the dribble and has very good court vision
