Simpson also fell into that “can’t miss” early as she too showed she was a #D1Lock in middle school. She was named MVP after helping lead her team to the State Championship and guess what, they’re going for B2B championships this weekend. She’s having an outstanding post season, which comes to no surprise because she just does what she does see evaluations here

Simpson had me drop #D1Lock on her the first time I saw her play, so seeing her continue to add more to her game over the years has been fun to watch. I emphasize the importance of “on the court” progression, and she’s hard to handle. Her deceptive first step, her slight HEZ, or just blowing by the defender to score is one thing, but her pull-up jumper form mid to long-range is another. She does a good job defensively; her “on the ball” pressure helped create turnovers, so did her playing the passing lane, and timing to block shots was also a plus

Simpson is “THE GLUE” on her team because of her consistently being able to control the game from either end is a gift. She plays the passing lane very well; her court vision is always a factor because she threads the needle in traffic to give her teammates good looks. Her pull-up jumper looked good, and she scored off the dribble, yet her defense, “on the ball” creates some turnovers

Simpson falls into that “I knew her before she was born” group, yet seeing her play the very first time with the Houston Lady Nets before high school, I dropped the #D1Lock on her. With that being said, she has numerous D1 offers on the table, and the long and athletic guard who can be electrifying at times, is on a mission to help lead her team back to the state tournament, where she put on a show and was named MVP

Simpson is a “long and athletic” guard who effortlessly and instinctively does a good job of getting the defender off , either using the HEZ or a variety of fakes so her pull-up jumper was clicking, along with her scoring off the dribble. She saw the floor, played the passing lane and did a job defending “on the ball”

Simpson is the eyes and ears of her team, always communicating and staying one step ahead of the defense. Shifty and unpredictable off the pick and roll, she’s a dual threat—able to break defenders down and score or thread the perfect pass to an open teammate. Her IQ and feel for the game make her a constant problem in half-court sets.

Simpson sold me in middle school and yeah, I’m the first person who put out there yet I also knew once she came back from an injury this season, her team would look different. She’s “THAT” player who makes those around her better, taking you from good to great. She throws darts on the money from 20 feet with either hand, she scores mid to long and off the dribble plus her defense, rebounding, and playing the passing lane all tied into her helping lead her team to a State Championship winning MVP honors as well in the 6A D1 Division

Simpson is a special player with the ability and skillset to take over games offensively, either off the dribble or dropping the mid to long-range jumper. Her poise under pressure has always impressed me and her return to her squad after an injury gives them a different look because she makes those around her better

Simpson has returned and THAT has Summer Creek in a position to make another deep run. Yeah, I called her a #D1Lock in middle school, when you know you know, but not only can he score mid to long-range as well as off the dribble, her FLOTA is one of the best in Texas. Guess what else she does? Makes those around her better

Simpson is another player who falls into that “knew her before she was born” category but she also falls into that “long and athletic” guard group and watching her smoothly take over games offensively just keeps getting better. Her mid to long-range game was clicking off the top and her scoring off the dribble, with either hand, after contact, was also nice, as well as her defense
