Lillie Eide Lillie Eide 5'6" | SG Centerville | 2024 State SD – Centerville – 5’7″ G – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 70th – Previous Ranking – 127th
Up 52 spots, Lillie Eide Lillie Eide 5'6" | SG Centerville | 2024 State SD had a nice junior season for the Tornadoes of Centerville. She averaged 9.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 2.5 APG, and 2.0 SPG this season and was a very well-rounded guard. She is an impressive rebounder from the guard position and does a great job crashing for offensive rebounds to gain her team extra possessions. She blocks out consistently to get defensive boards on the other end. Her greatest asset on offense is to attack the basket and she can finish shots that other players just can’t as she can score from all sorts of angles and contort her body and arms in the air to finish. Her outside shot improved this season as she hit it with more consistency. On defense, she pressures the ball well and makes life tough on opposing guards as they try to handle it around her.
Rhea Tucker Rhea Tucker 5'9" | SF Wall | 2024 State SD – Wall – 5′ 9″ F – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 66th – Previous Ranking – 105th
Rhea is a talented forward for the Eagles from Wall. She climbed up the rankings by nearly 40 spots and has had a really productive junior season. She’s long, attacks the rim well, and rebounds aggressively. On defense, she can guard a variety of talents as she moves well, uses her length to disrupt passing angles, and has a high IQ in understanding how to defend a diverse group of players. Look for Rhea to make some noise at the upcoming Class B State Tournament, and I expect to see her have a big senior year next season.
Jordyn Williams Jordyn Williams 5'8" | CG Garretson | 2024 State SD – Garretson- 5’6″ G – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 49th – Previous Ranking – 88th
Jordyn cracks the top 50, up from number 88 in our previous rankings. She has some of the most impressive length in this class of guards which makes her an effective defender and a solid finisher around the rim. She attacks the basket well and can knock down the three making her an all-around talent.
Paige Kjerstad Paige Kjerstad 5'10" | SF Wall | 2024 State SD – Wall – 5’9″ F – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 48th – Previous Ranking – 102nd
Paige has all the physical tools that stand out in today’s game. She’s long, physical, and handles the ball well for her position. When she decides to attack she gets there and can split defenders and score up and over the defense. She uses her length and athleticism combo to be disruptive on defense and rebounds the ball physically on both ends as well. If she can develop her outside shooting game before her senior season look for Paige to climb even higher in this talented class of athletes.
Maddy Bartscher Maddy Bartscher 5'8" | SF Ethan | 2024 State SD – Ethan – 5’8″ G/F – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 45th – Previous Ranking – 65th
Maddy helped guide her team back to the state tournament with her aggressive mindset on both ends, fundamental skill, and high basketball IQ. She is a great threat on the drive and finishes well when she gets to the basket. She has a lot of quick twitch capability and attacks with a quick first step to the rim. A willing rebounder, smart defender, and spot-on passer, she is a really well-rounded guard in this class.
Harley Nammany – Kimball/White Lake – 5’5″ G – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 40th – Previous Ranking – 60th
Harley is one of the purest 3-point shooters in this class. She plays with immense confidence and puts up solid scoring numbers night in and night out. She can get her own but also has great vision and shows an ability to set up shots for her teammates as well. Solid 1 on 1 on defense with the ability to pressure the basketball and create turnovers rounds out a solid overall game.
Mara Grant Mara Grant 5'10" | SF Tea Area | 2024 State SD – Tea – 5’10” F – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 23rd – Previous Ranking – 53rd
Mara has taken the rankings by storm and climbed into the top 25, and I predict that by the middle of her senior season, she could crack the top 15. She is a physical forward with guard handles. This combination makes her one of the best athletes scoring off the dribble in her class. She finishes at the rim, pulls up nicely to hit in the mid-range, and has range that can hit outside the three-point line as well. On defense, she plays just as aggressively, rebounds efficiently, and is constantly making plays for her squad. Mara is one of the most physical guards in the area and she knows how to position her body to put herself in effective spaces to score even in traffic.
Abby Aslesen Abby Aslesen 5'11" | SF Howard | 2024 State SD – Howard – 5’11” F – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 15th – Previous Ranking – 57th
Abby has steadily improved over the past two seasons and has become one of the top forwards in this class. She and her teammates will be competing in the state tournament March 9-11 and she will no doubt be a big factor in each game. Her game has earned her a spot amongst the top 15, up a massive 42 spots! She has a back-to-the-basket game with great footwork and finishing ability. Add in that she has range out beyond the three-point line and you have one of the most dynamic scorers in the state. She’s aggressive, a double-double machine, and has the ability to alter shots on the defensive end.
Courtney Sees Courtney Sees 5'5" | PG Avon | 2024 State SD – Avon – 5’6″ G – Class of 2024 PGH Ranking – 14th – Previous Ranking – 30th
Courtney is a dynamic scorer that plays with a high intensity that not many in her class can match. She cracks the top 15 primarily due to her ability to score the basketball. She is fantastic off the dribble and has a variety of moves to find her way to the basket and finish. From three she is lights out and if you give her an inch, it’s going in. She has a great ability to handle the ball and has point guard ability to create for others and pass to go along with her ability to get her own points.
