Emily Cavanaugh Emily Cavanaugh 5'8" | SG Ranney | 2025 State NJ – St. Rose (2025)
Coached by the legendary Mary Beth Chambers, Emily has displayed streaks of greatness playing for the Purple Hearts. She a dynamic, defense-driven guard who isn’t afraid of doing the dirty work; i.e. scrapping and diving for loose balls. She has great timing and elevation for rejecting shots and superb hand-eye coordination and quick hands to pick-pockets and force a slew of turnovers. Offensively, she gets to the basket at will and has a steady mid-range game, capable of knocking down clutch shots in crunch time.
Jaida Guerra Jaida Guerra 5'6" | PG Union City | 2025 State NJ – Union City (2025)
If small but mighty was a player, it would be Jaida! She is an explosive guard who uses her 5’5′” frame to her advantage, weaving through and splitting defenders on fast breaks and taking it strong to the basket. Her acrobatic-like layups are a thing of beauty, but so are her rainbow 3’s and her automatic mid-range jumpers. It’s no secret that she can hurt you in a number of ways offensively, but her aggressive defense is one of the best around, as she is relentless in her pursuit of the basketball. She never tires and is always high-energy and high-octane, making her so entertaining to watch!
Tessa Carman Tessa Carman 5'11" | PF Red Bank Catholic | 2025 State NJ – Red Bank Catholic (2025)
Tessa is a force out there, plain and simple. Scoring on her can be just as daunting a task as defending her, as she is a fantastic two-way player. She runs the floor like a guard & commands the paint like a big, making her one of the best “swing-man” players around. She uses every bit of her 5’11” frame to elevate over defenders, crash the glass with authority to control the boards and come up with huge blocks in and around the paint. Tessa’s emphatic rejections draw audible gasps from the crowd and can easily shift the momentum in her team’s favor. Need a steady 3-point shooter? Yeah, she has that in her arsenal, too. The girl can flat-out HOOP!
Aleena Dinker Aleena Dinker 5'6" | CG St. John Vianney | 2025 State NJ – St. John Vianney (2025)
Aleena had a breakout season playing for nationally-ranked SJV. She was effective across the board, answering the call whenever Coach Karpell needed quality minutes from the sophomore. Being coached by one of the state’s best and playing alongside some of the nation’s best, Aleena vastly improved her overall game from her freshman year and gave us a peek of what she is truly capable of! She showed tremendous grit and played an integral role in SJV’s intense defensive pressure applied on opponents. She’s a player who doesn’t shy away from the biggest stages and most important moments!
Raquelle McMullin – Red Bank Catholic (2025)
A player with tremendous upside, Raquelle displayed glimpses of what’s to come the next few years. She possesses great body control in the lane and is a fantastic rebounding guard. On a Shoreshots team that already has phenomenal defenders, Raquelle will add yet another layer of defensive excellence and make life miserable for opponents. She is determined, driven and laser-focused, and is poised for a big season on the circuit.
Olivia Shaughnessy Olivia Shaughnessy 5'6" | PG Manasquan | 2025 State NJ – Manasquan (2025)
Playing on a team stacked with talent can surely intimidate and scare off some players. This is not the case with Liv. Playing on NJ Rise, Manasquan and now the Shoreshots, she is sure to fit right in, because she has a BIG game. She anticipates well, is excellent at spacing the floor and is always looking to either cut, or find the cutting player to the basket. She gets to the basket at will, whether it’s on a hesi move or ferociously weaving through defenders. If she’s ever totally forced out of the lane, she can comfortably pull up from 3 and consistently knock them down.
Lizzy Mitchell Lizzy Mitchell 5'6" | CG St. Rose | 2025 NJ – St. Rose (2025)
With so many of her fellow “Shore sisters” on this team, Lizzy is sure to use that chemistry to her advantage. She doesn’t always need a ton of minutes to make a big impact because she is efficient in her time on the court. She can be relied upon to do a little bit of everything, whether it’s getting quick buckets or getting a stop. Lizzy knows the importance of her role as an x-factor, a role that will be crucial to the success of this Shoreshots program.
Shannon Heine – Manasquan (2025)
A knockdown shooter with elite court vision and court awareness, Shannon has what it takes to lead this squad to many victories on the circuit. Playing in arguably the toughest conference in New Jersey (Shore) has toughened her mentally and physically to be ready for any opponent. She uses screens beautifully and is lethal from deep. Her spot-up 3’s are one of her biggest fortes because of her pin-point accuracy. A true floor general, Shannon knows how to direct traffic and make the right plays, ultimately a recipe for success.
Kayden Clark Kayden Clark 5'8" | CG Ocean Township | 2025 State NJ – Ocean Township (2025)
From scoring, to rebounding, to dishing dimes, to swiping steals… she does it all. Kayden is very good at anticipating the next pass, which in turn makes her the beneficiary of many steals and buckets in transition. She makes good passing decisions, capitalizes on play-making opportunities and helps cut down on turnovers. She runs the floor like a gazelle, always with her head up driving to the basket or looking for an open teammate. She is dangerous with the rock!
Christina Liggio Christina Liggio 5'8" | PG Red Bank Catholic | 2025 State NJ – Red Bank Catholic (2025)
The Liggio bloodline is rich with talent and Christina is no exception! She came into high school 2 years ago scorching hot and has never let up. She plays the game with hunger, passion and a unique sense of urgency, which translates to immediate and impactful results. She possesses an automatic mid-range jumper, drives beautifully to the basket and is an absolute sniper from deep! Defensively, she is committed, communicates well and forces tough shots. Her overall success thus far is a testament to the hard work she puts in both in practice and during the off-season, as coaches rave about her work ethic and integrity.
