With high level division 2, NAIA, and Junior College coaches in attendance, the stakes were high for the players looking to continue their basketball careers at the next level. In this article, we highlight some of the standout players who made a big impact on the court during the tournament.
2025 McKenzie Mathurin McKenzie Mathurin 5'10" | CG Broken Arrow | 2025 State OK | Oklahoma Swift Mathurin 17U E40 – Primetime player with skill and will. She is a 3-level scorer that is built for the moment and handles the pressure. Defensively she effortlessly makes an impact – getting deflections, playing the passing lane and containing the ball. She shoots the 3-ball consistently and will hit the big time shot when her team needs it. She is also an underrated passer – on-time/on-target to teammates.
2024 Brooklyn Owens Brooklyn Owens 5'11" | SF HarBer | 2025 State AR | Shock Hoops – 5’11 Long , Athletic Wing player, she is shifty off the dribble – able to create when attacking, high motor player, defensively she is a problem for the opposing team – lateral quickness mixed with her length; it’s intimidating. She is a versatile player that can guard all positions if needed.
2024 Amelia Rogers Amelia Rogers 5'7" | PG Lakeside | 2024 State AR | Hoop Life 17U – Competitive athlete that plays to win, hustles for loose balls and will play big and bang a little in the paint. She attacks the basket and finishes well – has a ability to stop on a dime and hit the midrange jumper and can stretch the floor and hit the outside shot consistently.
2027 Jacey Halitzka Jacey Halitzka 5'4" | SG Bergman | 2027 AR | Missouri Phenom AR 2027 – Smart player with the ball in her hands, controls the pace of the game, handles pressure and can create space. She is a shooter with range and has the special ability to hit the step back jumper with ease and have the defense on their heels.
2024 Jordan Marshall Jordan Marshall 5'11" | SF Central | 2024 State AR | MAVS Elite 17U – 6′ Solid player with size and skill. She uses her size to her advantage when driving to the basket and handle pressure from the defense. She is a versatile player that can go to work inside and function like a guard on the perimeter. Defensively she is smart and can guard multiple positions – her instincts and presence in the court make her a valuable player.
