With high level division 2, NAIA, and Junior College coaches in attendance, the stakes were high for the players looking to continue their basketball careers at the next level. In this article, we highlight some of the standout players who made a big impact on the court during the tournament.
2027 Olivia Stokes Olivia Stokes 6'0" | PF Locust Grove | 2027 OK | Missouri Phenom AR 2027 – 6’0” Long athletic player with a lot of skill and upside, she is able to get low and wide on defense with the versatility to guard multiple positions. She has good footwork which gives her an advantage in the paint when scoring. She will bang/blockout, and crash the boards. Olivia can push the ball in transition and handle the ball like a guard when needed.
2024 Dalaney Roller | Hoop Life 17U – 5’8” Ready shooter with range, next play type of shooter, mid-range is consistent, hustles to loose balls and will crash the boards for second chance opportunities. Defensively she is a worker – also able to make the correct passes under pressure. She will get on fire from deep – volume shooter but makes a big impact to her team. She hit 6 three-pointers vs Shock 2024.
2024 Brilynn Findley Brilynn Findley 5'7" | PG Bryant | 2024 State AR | MAVS ELite 17U – 5’7” Shooter, aggressive on defense with active hands and feet – keeping the ball in front of her. High motor player that plays to win. A shot-maker – hands ready – feet set – quick trigger. She seems to be in the right spots – where all the action is. She got her head split open and was leaking – but she got fixed up with the trainer and was ready to go like nothing happened. Such a tough, competitive player.
2024 Marleigh Sellars | Hoop Life 17U – Athletic guard with elite lateral quickness. She’s great at staying in front of the ball on defense – active hands and quick feet. She sets the pace of the game and makes sure teammates are involved. I would like to see her attack more because she ahas the ability to get in the paint and she will make the right play. She is capable of hitting a big 3-pointer. Strong finisher in transition.
2027 Finley Chastain | GameBall Fusion 17U – 6’0” Long point guard with handles. She plays at her own pace and isn’t phased when the pressure comes. She makes on-time/on-target passes with one hand and can get downhill to the basket. She has crafty handles and is shifty when the ball is in her hands. Creates space for her shot. She is a high-level shooter.
