Whether it was a spark to change to momentum or just huge plays to ignite the team, here are some of the Gamechangers I saw on opening day
Tiara Louis-5’7 G ( Lady Arnold Elite ) Brennan [2024]
Louis is always a player that has shown she can get her teammates going and although the team fell a basket short, she is the type of player that makes those around her better. She blows by defenders off the dribble, nice body control on her finishes yet she can drop the jumper from outside, with a hand in her face. She also sees the floor, her unselfishness always stands out and so does her defense
Christina Harris

-5’7 G (
Team Stay Ready
) Lake Ridge HA [2024]
Harris came off the bench and instantaneously changed the momentum. She uses her athleticism and goes hard on both ends and her “on the ball” defense coupled with her quick hands helped create early turnovers. She attacked the basket relentlessly and scored off the dribble as well as on putbacks but her spin move in the paint for a basket along with her pull-up jumpers got everything going
Treasure Emeh-5’8 G ( Houston Lady Nets 2024) Oak Ridge [2024]
Emeh also is one of the players that brings “IT” off the top and I don’t know if it was her acrobatic finishes after playing then passing lane or defying gravity using nice body control. after contact, is what sparked the squad. I know she goes after everything, on the floor, in the stands, almost hit me yet she also hit some jumpers showing the pull-up
Nakisha Nedd-5’10 PF ( Houston Lady Nets 2025) Macarthur [2025]
Nedd told me before the game she was ready and coming from an ankle sprain, she was more than ready as she helped her team come back from a double-digit deficit, twice, to grab the win. Speaking of grabbing, she was a force in the paint as she went after everything off the rim yet her powerful finishes after contact also helped, along with her scoring off the dribble from the wing
Tycee Thibeaux- Gulf Coast Legacy 2024
Thibeaux showed both the C/O, crossover. as well as the HEZ, hesitation yet her creating her shot under pressure and knocking it down while being defended was nice. She also dropped the pull-up jumper in transition, she did a good job on the defensive end, both on the ball and playing the passing lane, but her court vision was also a big plus
Neveah Watson-5’6 G ( DFW Lady Magic ) Coppell [2024]
Watson grabbed my attention a few months ago yet she’s not only an athletic guard, she understands how to use her athleticism on both ends of the court. She handles the ball under pressure yet her defensive pressure is smothering at times and helps to create turnovers, and so does her playing the passing lane. She showed a very nice spin move attacking the basket as well as dropping the jumper
Leanna Sanchez-5’6 G ( United Lady Elite 2025) Cove [2025]
Sanchez showed that she could not only shoot it, but she could “catch and shoot” it from deep. She is poised and wants the ball in pressure situations and with a flick of the wrist, she lets it go. She creates her shot to get it off, she can shoot it off the screen but she can also drop in transition showing the “stop and pop”
Natalie Willis-5’8 G ( North Houston Hustle 2025) Splendora JH [2027]
Willis is a PERFECT example of why I need non-erroneous and COMPLETE rosters, it’s a science just not rocket, but let me give me a formula. She’s an 8th grader playing up and showing the potential of going up, Up, and AWAY because she does things instinctively and I love how she reacts in certain pressure situations. Her “catch and shoot” from DEEP, as well as using body control to score off the dribble, after contact tells me a lot
Alyssa Harms-5’7 G ( League City Sharks ) 2027
Harms falls into that “silent assassin” type of player because she fills up the stat sheet smoothly and in the flow. Well also in the FLOATA as she dropped it off the dribble, but her knack for getting to the basket today had me smiling as she scored with either hand. She also saw the floor and hit teammates on the money, she even dropped the mid to long-range
