Continue ReadingTo end my month’s writing, I want to highlight a few kids I enjoyed watching this first month in AAU. I won’t just talk about the best players I’ve seen in these two articles. These kids do little things well and contribute to their teams at an elite level in their way.
I don’t talk about Inda much, but I want to make up for that tonight. The Monona Grove wing is a perfect 3/4 kid that can defend posts or guards on the perimeter. She’s a chameleon and can fit into any system a coach runs. Her ability to do multiple things on the defensive end will help her get onto the floor at the next level early. Offensively, she’s a solid shooter and a surprisingly crafty finisher around the rim. She’s a good athlete and will help a program at the next level.
Paige Seckar Paige Seckar 6'0" | SF Oshkosh West | 2024 State WI
There are maybe three kids in the entire state whose offensive game gets overshadowed by what they do defensively. If Seckar played in a faster system at the high school level, she’d easily score 20 per night. Seckar’s got a solid little turnaround jumper, and her perimeter jumper has improved these past 12 months. Her offensive game is better than people give her credit for, and she may be the best defensive player in the best conference in Wisconsin. She added a few scholarship offers after the first live period, and I assume she’ll add more.

There isn’t a more fun experience I’ve had watching a game than the 8 am game last Saturday. She made eight three-pointers in that game and was the most clear vocal leader I’ve ever seen in AAU. A saying about a leader on the floor is their “Extension of the head coach,” but with Craft, it’s true. I loved what she did, and I’m not shocked she picked up a Milwaukee offer after the live period.
Jaden Ciesielcyzk
Jaden is like her sister in many ways. Both understand their roles and how to maximize their skill sets. Another thing to note about any Ciesielczyk’s is how hard they play on both ends of the floor. I don’t use terms like hard-nosed much, but if you looked up the definition for what a hard-nosed player looked like, you’d see a picture of Ciesielczyk flying after loose balls and putting her body on the line to help her team.
