Addison Miranda Addison Miranda 5'7" | SG Pius XI | 2025 State WI
The last game I saw was the 11:15 slot on Sunday, and I only got to see half of that game. However, in that half, Miranda shot the lights out. She did a great job filling the lane in transition, got some wide-open looks on kick-out 3s, moved well away from the ball to slip into some pockets of space, and made a handful of three-pointers. She also did a solid job finishing in traffic when she got to the rim in transition and their half-court offense.
TaLeah Turner
I love physical guards who can get to the rim and don’t mind going through people. Turner’s ability to get to the basket opens up the floor for her teammates, and she does a great job finding them as she navigates through traffic. She’s also formidable because whenever she takes a hit attacking the basket and hits the floor, she’ll pop off the floor as if nothing happened. She’s willing to make physical sacrifices to help make her team and teammates better, and anyone who plays at any level wants to play with a player like Turner.
Anna Filosa Anna Filosa 5'9" | SG York | 2025 State IL
The York prospect had a quiet showing for most of the first game I saw her play, but she put her fingerprints all over the end of the game. Anytime the team she was playing against made a mistake in the final six minutes, Filosa made the opposing team’s mistake matter. Whether it was a turnover that Filosa punished by making a 3-pointer or rebounding missed layups, Filosa punished the other team for their mistakes. She stayed ready all game, and when the action came to her, she was ready.
Brooke Spychalski Brooke Spychalski 5'9" | CG Yorkville | 2025 State IL
A few kids carried themselves with all the confidence in the world. Spychalski was one of them. Whenever she came down the floor and found a little space behind the 3-point line, I fully expected the shots she took to fall, and it felt like anytime her team needed some momentum, Spychalski was there to hit a big 3-pointer. Anytime she touched the ball, defenses reacted to her, and that’s a sign of someone who can swing a game in the course of a few possessions, and that’s what she did.
