New York Summer Spotlight: Part I

Pure shooting stroke with good follow through, needs to her improve her low release/hitch on the mechanics. She possesses great balance and uses her physicality to her advantage to create space in the post. Her running floater is fun to watch. Looks to attack the basket and get her teammates good looks when she draws double teams, and has great vision to kick out to teammates.  Sweet mid-range game and solid rebounder. She will continue to improve her stock with a strong summer circuit under her belt. She plays to her strengths within a system but can take over when her team needs a bucket. Matches that with a multitude of ways to beat you. Mercado possesses elite shooting mechanics with a lightning quick release similar to Seth Curry.  Will only get better as she progresses in her career.
