A player who is smaller in size makes up for it with her balanced and fundamental shooting stroke from distance. In their contest against Air Minnesota 2024 this morning I watched Gregor go 4/5 from three, basically knocking down every open look that was passed her way. This was a big boost to her team, helping them stay in the game down the stretch before falling just short. That's okay though as this team is resilient and will bounce back for their game 2 this afternoon. Manzanarez is one of those players that is the definition of shifty. She moves side to side with the ball so effortlessly that it seems like she is floating on a cloud when setting up her opponent so that she can attack her off of the dribble. I haven't seen anyone that can stay in front of her 1 V 1 on the defensive side of things and I don't expect to. Not to mention that she is very well rounded as a prospect. Can pass with some [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last='']' last=''] vision down the floor, rebounds well with an aggressive attitude, and displays a very consistent jump-shot. A player who can handle, distribute, defend and knock down some big shots when her team needs it the most. In this mornings contest her team had to go on some runs to stay in it and Ewalt was a big part of those runs. There was a specific sequence in the second half when she hit back-to-back threes, screaming at her bench while smiling immediately after. I think that this moment really displays what her game is all about. She is a player who a college coach could bring into a system and she will understand/do whatever is exactly asked of her. Overall, I like her game. She is going to be playing on a college floor, some day, if she sticks with it. A guard who stands at a good height of 5'10 and who possesses a whole lot of confidence. Whenever the ball is in her hands, she is looking to attack her defender and create something for herself or her teammates. It's easy to tell on the court which players are used to scoring a good amount, having the ball in their hands the majority of the time, and knowing what's going on. Bush is one of those players. If she can just tighten up her efficiency of her overall game, then defenses better watch out because guarding her 1 on 1 is going to be almost impossible. Things like getting on the floor first, diving for loose balls wethers its on the ground or into the stands, communicating well with teammates/coaches, stuff like that. Dru Zoucha is a player with a lot of skill, a good head on her shoulder, and brings a lot of those intangibles that I mentioned above, onto the court. In the contest that I got to watch her in this morning she did everything in her power to try and help will her team to victory. She hit a number of difficult shots, she defended her opponents like crazy, and she communicated well with her teammates throughout the entire contest. Overall she did a good job of controlling tempo and the pace of the game from the point position, her team just happen to fall shot to a very well coached Nebraska Hoops [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='[program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last='']' last=''] 2024 squad. I'll be keeping my eye out for this team and Dru. They can play and will win some games this season against some other well-known programs out there.
