Hustle Award: Maggie Chambers Maggie Chambers 5'11" | PF Pickens | 2024 State SC – Lady SC Sixers
Maggie was constantly around the ball today to make a play for her team. She was able to rebound the ball outside of her area. She really did a nice job of working down low and carving out space at times. She dropped some elbow jumpers along the way when she wasn’t losing her glasses.
She Just Makes Plays: Kari Lee Kari Lee 5'5" | PG Crest | 2024 NC – JB Pack
Lee was impressive here today for the local Shelby, NC area team. Kari really got the ball downhill to the cup. She was able to penetrate-kick along the way to the basket. Kari was a one-person wrecking crew at times for her team finishing drives through contact and making tough shots. She attends Crest HS in Forest City, NC.
Thief Award (Player with most steals): Saniya Sanders Saniya Sanders 5'5" | PG Goose Creek | 2025 State SC – S.H.O.T.S. United 16U
Sanders has some quick hands to cause some chaos while on the floor. Saniya was able to get a handful of picks in every game we watched her play this weekend. She has no shortage of confidence with her play at times and she will chat it up with a opposing player. Sanders really excels on the defensive end of the floor for the Red, White and Blue. Saniya attends Cathedral Academy in North Charleston.
Improving Her Game: Carmyn Claxton Carmyn Claxton 6'3" | C Legacy Early College | 2025 State SC – Lady SC Sixers
Claxton has really made a lot of good strides this year with more playing time. She has extended out to facing up from the short corner and sometime can extend out to 17-19 feet. Carmyn a left-handed forward has a really nice touch from the foul line. She prefers to play the game as a face-up stretch forward. Claxton attends Legacy Early College in Greenville.
Size in the Paint: Sarah Ezell Sarah Ezell 6'1" | SF Boiling Springs | 2024 State SC – SC Eagles 2024 Black and Diamynd Buckson Diamynd Buckson 6'2" | C Gaffney | 2024 State SC – SC Eagles 2024 White
Ezell plays around the paint and shows to have a nice touch. Sarah can step away for a short jumper at times and knockdown some shots.
Buckson is a RAW talent who really just needs to keep playing more and more basketball. This duo both play with 2 different teams in the organization but both measure 6’1 in the height column.
Swagger: Gabby Bryant Gabby Bryant 5'7" | CG Hickory | 2025 NC – Team Hickory
Bryant was chatting it up in the game today vs S.H.O.T.S. United and not backing down. She’s a very confident kid on the floor with her play and rightfully so.
Toughness Award: Caroline Sweet Caroline Sweet 5'7" | SG Powdersville | 2026 State SC -Lady SC Sixers
Sweet is very feisty on the floor with her play. She won’t hesitate at all to jump on the floor for a loose ball. Caroline plays great around the ball and really brings a tough-nosed mindset to the floor. Sweet attends Powdersville HS
