Michaela Hodge
Michaela Hodge
Michaela Hodge using her power dribbles to reposition herself and move her defender where she wanted on her way to two points at the rim. On defense, her hands were constantly deflecting passes and knocking the ball away from her opponents. She even caused a turnover drawing an offensive foul against her.
Laken Powe Laken Powe 5’11” | PF Hickory | 2024 State NC does a nice job making herself a big target in the paint sealing off her opponents and being ready to score off the pass. She hustles up and down the court being ready to score in transition. There seemed to be very few people who could stop her on the block as she had her way using post moves to score some points.
Highlights
Ava Whisnant
Ava Whisnant
Ava Whisnant did a nice job going after rebounds, and she put up second chance opportunities leading to some free throws for her points. She had a nice drop step to score some points, and she used some up and under moves to put up her shot in the paint. She was able to block some shots on the other end, too.
Carolina Robinson
Carolina Robinson
Carolina Robinson used her height to block shots and get hands in the face of her opponents trying to score in the paint. She was excellent at keeping the ball high off rebounds, so her opponents had no choice but to foul her if they wanted to get in her way. She also showed off her range knocking down a three pointer late in the game closing the gap for her team.
Damireona Burch Damireona Burch 5’11” | PF Bunker Hill | 2024 NC puts the power in power dribbles having her way on the block as she goes up for her shots. She boxes out her opponents easily to get her rebounds. There weren’t many people who could match her strength handling the ball and protecting the basket on the other end.
