A few days ago, we released the Spring rankings update for the Class of 2024. We have also changed formats to make rankings more exclusive, therefore at this time we are ranking just 100 total players in the Class of 2024, with the rest being placed on a watchlist of 100 players. At some point in the near future, those 100 ranked spots will expand to 150. That will likely be around September 1st. In the meantime, I wanted to take this time to circle back and address all of the listed prospects, position by position. Below is a look at 24 center prospects who make up 12.0% of the rankings this time around, with analysis on a handful to “keep an eye on” detailed at the bottom.

KEEP AN EYE ON:
Giselle is a big, strong, physical, somewhat overpowering post prospect who does a lot of work inside of 10-feet. She has broad shoulders, some length, and she’s a solid all-around athlete at her size. At times she can be relentless attacking the boards, but she could stand to play a little lower and not try to out-jump everyone to help cut down on her fouls. At the same time, she can power through contact to finish, and she has some touch in the mid-post. She is very intriguing.
Highlights
The amount of growth Alexis has shown over the past couple of years is a nice predictor as to how much more she can develop her game at the next level. She is a strong athlete who can run the floor, “out-athlete” her matchups, but also get inside and play physically around the basket. She has some mid-post touch, and she likes to attack the basket off the bounce. As she continues to round out her skillset and becomes more polished, she should draw a varying degree of interest.
Natalia is another prospect who has come a long way in a short time. I remember watching her as an 8th Grader and Freshman, and you could see her ability to get up and down the floor, plus her tremendous length, but she was a little raw skillfully. As she has gotten older, she has gained necessary strength, plus she has started to develop a nice face-up game that allows her to play comfortably at 15-feet. Her skillset and strength should continue to improve this next year.
It’s very easy to get caught up in classmate Juliann Woodard Juliann Woodard 6’1″ | PF Jennings County | 2024 State IN when you watch the Lady Panthers, but Alexis has come along nicely throughout her career. Not only is she a solid compliment in the Jennings County frontcourt, but she is a solid small college recruit as well. She likes to play with physicality, she can rebound by boxing out or pursuing caroms outside of her area, plus she’s an advantageous scorer around the basket. Adding a more consistent face-up game will help as well.
Ella is a true worker, and she overcomes any size mismatches by outworking her opponent most games. She runs the floor hard, seeks contact first inside, and she’s willing to do a lot of the “little things” other girls just aren’t. She does a really nice job in pick-and-roll situations of finding space and knocking down a 12-footer, but as she adds to her range and works on handling the ball a little more, she could be even more of a handful. For now, she has double-double potential each time out.
