Ella has a broad frame, a lot of power, and she plays with a motor. She likes to seek physicality and gain position early in possessions, at either end of the floor. Defensively, she does best by rooting out opponents and keeping them away from the basket. She could get a little quicker laterally in ball-screen situations, but she does work hard at it. Offensively, she is more of an opportunistic scorer who gets “scraps” baskets off of offensive rebounds or dump-off passes from guard penetration. However, she does have soft hands, and she has some touch to about 15-feet. She could be a nice small college post.

Prep Girls Hoops Lead Scout

Ella is a true worker, and she overcomes any size mismatches by outworking her opponent most games. She runs the floor hard, seeks contact first inside, and she’s willing to do a lot of the “little things” other girls just aren’t. She does a really nice job in pick-and-roll situations of finding space and knocking down a 12-footer, but as she adds to her range and works on handling the ball a little more, she could be even more of a handful. For now, she has double-double potential each time out.
