Here are some of the standout players in the 16 & 17U divisions that I witnessed.
Mia Singstock Mia Singstock 5'9" | SF Pinnacle | 2024 State AZ Pinnacle (AZ Elite 17U Black)
SIngstock shot the ball with confidence as she has range well beyond the three point line. She showed that she can do more than shoot as she had some very nice passes to cutting teammates. She should be in line for a big viewing period.

Ironwood Ridge (AZ Elite 17U Black)
She has what some might consider an unorthodox release but when she lets it go it seems like it’s going in every time. She knows how to create space when the defense is crowding her. Easily one of the better shooters in the state.
Jocelyn Michelle Chavez Jocelyn Michelle Chavez 5'9" | SG Valley Vista | 2024 State AZ Valley Vista (Las Bonitas)
Chavez seems to be making a transition to play more of the point guard. She showed the ball handling ability and instincts to get the ball to her teammates in the right spots. She did this while still maintaining her ability as a scoring threat.
Cynthia Tewksbury Cynthia Tewksbury 5'4" | PG Canyon View | 2025 State AZ Canyon View (Valley Storm)
The sophomore point guard plays with a supreme poise. She is a very good ball handler that has a good change of pace. Her pace enables her to keep defenders off balance. Tewksbury always has her head up waiting to hit an open teammate.

An active post player, Britany knows how to use her body and and gets good position in the post when she’s being guarded one on one. She is also a very good rebounder and passer. She reads double teams very well and knows when to pass out of them.

Perry (VBC 17U National)
A quick point guard who can dribble out of situations that most can’t. Ivy single-handedly puts pressure on any type of defense she faces. She knows how to get into the teeth of the defense and either finish at the rim or hit the open teammate.

Undecided (AZ Elite 17U Gold)
Steinke is a very good all around guard. She has very good form on her perimeter shot. She also is a good passer as well as a good on the ball defender. She has good hands and quick feet which helps her make it tough for whoever she’s guarding. She just moved in from Colorado and is undecided on what school she will attend.
LaToya Brooks LaToya Brooks 5'8" | SF Williams Field | 2024 State AZ Williams Field (AZ Fire Wimbish) (Featured Image)
A blur in the open court, Brooks brings energy to the game. Her athleticism allowed her to easily go by defenders whether on a fast break or in a half court set. She is also a very good rebounder with the ability to get the ball and go coast to coast. With her skills she has the ability to be a lock down defender.

Hamilton (AZ Fire Shand)
A tough combo guard she has a good burst with the ball and is tough enough to absorb contact. She has a nice pull up jumper as well as other moves to get her own shot. She’s already a vocal leader and she hasn’t entered high school yet. She will definitely be one to watch in the future.
Eva Vicki Amenhauser

Estrella Foothills (AZ Pride Adidas 16U)
The young forward plays with a good understanding of the game and doesn’t try to do too much. She’s a very good rebounder and is a good passer from the high post. Amenhauser also showed a good touch around the rim.

Sandra Day O’Connor (TWE)
Audrey has an advanced feel for the game. Good ball handler with size that allows her to see over the top of the defender and make passes. She has a good looking shot with touch and form. Bhesania is one who will make big progress moving forward.
