Ottinger is “long and athletic” which is the base and her timing to blocks shots was very nice. She also doers a good job of creating her shot and scored off the dribble. Her mid to long range was also a big plus as it gave her options and kept the defender on their toes but she stayed on her toes as well by playing the passing lane and handling the ball in the open court after the steal

Kierra Pineda
Pineda showed me the pull-up jumper as well as being able to score off the dribble on opening night and her using body control to finish was a bonus for me to see. her stop and pop jumper was nice yet on day 2, even nicer as she played the passing lane and showed it in transition after the steal. She did a good job defensively but under pressure , she also showed she could “catch and shoot” from mid to long-range with a hand in her face
Jocelyn Timmermeyer
Jocelyn Timmermeyer
Timmermeyer is another “long and athletic” player that stood out during the event and let me start with the pressure she applies defensively. Her “on the ball” heat in the set as well as baseline to baseline, was among the best I saw over the weekend yet she also goes after loose balls, on the floor. That intensity is something you can’t teach and she also played the passing lane and scored off the dribble
Brooke Wheeler
Brooke Wheeler
Wheeler does multiple things that I enjoy watching players and I guess the main thing is that she “finds ways to put the ball into the basket”. She scores on putbacks, yes she rebounds on both ends, but her midrange was really nice, as well as her pull up in transition. She dropped the 3 ball, from very deep, and she handled the ball in transition as well as in the set to score off the dribble. She also saw the floor and hit teammates on the money for assists
Graham showed me that “hands and footwork” I love to drop the #THROWBACK hashtag on but she also did a good job of using her “college ready frame” on both ends in the paint. She even gave me a drop step from yesteryear but she has good timing to go with her standing over “the magic number” which is 6’0. She rebounded on both ends but she also ran the floor on both ends and not only did she defend inside the paint, she also stepped out of it and did a nice job
