Continue ReadingHolohan is a lengthy forward who has the offensive tools to score in a hurry. Her versatility is one of her strengths. She can shoot the three ball and drive without hesitation. The 6’1 power forward is an exceptional rebounder. She also attacks the paint withe ease. Holohan is a NYSPHSAA Champion (2022). She plays on the AAU circuit for Havoc. She holds offers from Manhattan, Canisius, Mount St Mary, Fairfield, etc. Defensively, she needs to be a little more aggressive. She needs to be more active in disrupting her opponent’s rhythm. It is a crucial step to becoming well-rounded as a player.
Barr-Buday is a physical player who uses her size well. She covers the length of the floor in seconds. She is consistent on both ends of the ball. Barr-Buday’s exceptional footwork/speed allows to cut off driving lanes and shut down most attempts at the rim. Offensively, she finishes through contact and understands her role on the team. She recently committed to Buffalo, and I’m eager to see her development at the college level. She is currently ranked 28 in the state and sixth in her position by Prep Girls Hoops.
Cerf is an excellent shooter. The left-handed guard was named to the Suburban Council first team this past season. Her ball handling skills and ability to explode past her defenders is something only a handful of players possess. Despite being undersized, Cerf still contests for rebounds. She takes no plays off and is a nightmare on the defensive end. She is quick and wins almost all her individual matchups. Cerf is someone coaches can rely on as she approaches the game with respect and pure passion. Whoever snags her up will have an amazing player/person on their team.
Champagne is a guard who does nearly everything right. She passes and handles the ball well. She also shoots off the dribble and has an array of scoring abilities. She is explosive going to the rim and can dish it out if the angle doesn’t favor her. She utilizes her unique frame to the fullest. She rebounds and defenses well. She is a player who requires double attention all game, as her impact is evident. She is a fearless competitor who combines her experience and leadership skills well. Among her strengths are her shooting, physicality and confidence in possession. However, she needs to improve a bit defensively. She is needs to close down passing lanes/be more aggressive when going up against the opposing team’s guard.
