Glacier Peak
1st team Wesco 4A pick as a sophomore this season. A knock-down shooter with range, she will develop even more range as she gets stronger. She is also good at sizing up the defense and taking it to the rim off the dribble. Her catch and shoot threes show the same mechanics each time, you can see that she has put in work. With the graduation of Kylani Rookstool Kylani Rookstool 5’9″ | CG Glacier Peak | 2023 State WA , Brynna will be counted on even more to get buckets.
Highlights
Kentridge
Sydney averaged 14.2 points, 6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 3.7 steals per game this season. She has good quickness as an athletic guard who also jumps well and rebounds. She is a good shooter, and can shoot it off the dribble or the catch. She has a nice mid-range game and is best in the open floor, both finishing and finding open teammates.
Highlights
Jayla is coming off a season where she averaged 11. 6 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.9 steals. She has the versatility and toughness to play one through three. She gets most of her points from strong drives to the basket. Both she and Esperanza were 4A NPSL 2nd team picks. Both have the versatility to do a lot of things well and should be one of the top guard combos next season in the NPSL and beyond.
Arlington
Samara was a big factor in Arlington finishing 3rd at the 3A state tournament. She had some of her best games in the post-season. She had 28 in the state tournament round of 12 win over Meadowdale. She had a season high 35 with 9 threes in a game late in the season. She also has a great mid-range jumper and uses the floater well. She can shoot it from from well beyond the three point line. Jenna Villa Jenna Villa 6’1″ | SF Arlington | 2023 State WA graduates this year as one of the best players in the state. Morrow should pick up a lot of that scoring next season from the point guard position.
Highlights
Kierra is a 6’0 wing who can play on the perimeter or inside. I’m giving her the perimeter here, mostly because she also has that range extending beyond the arc. She averaged 7 points and 3.5 rebounds for Arlington this season. Her catch and shoot threes are solid. She can provide points in the paint with her length and overall versatility. Arlington is losing a big piece. These two will be next up.
