It should come as no shock that a certain in-state coach has taken interest in her – She’s a real big down low. She’s the kind you just don’t see a lot of anymore. She’s part of a position that is slowly wearing out as the game becomes faster and faster. She demands her spot on the floor and in an offense. She makes her foul shots. Any program should have their eyes on her. With two state titles under her belt and a summer with the W.Va. Thunder, she’s a winner and knows what it takes to get the job done at the next level.
Josie Cross Josie Cross 5'10" | PF Woodrow Wilson | 2025 State WV , Woodrow Wilson, PF, 6-0, So. – Rebounds. Rebounds. Rebounds. That one word is the best way to describe this Flying Eagle. She just has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Once she has her hands on the ball, you aren’t going to poke it away. You won’t goad her into giving it up. She’s quick at finding her point guard and getting her the ball, so she can move the offense up the floor. With her rebounding combined with her 3-point and in range, she should be on a coaches’ radar.
Lucie Cline Lucie Cline 6'0" | PF Parkersburg South | 2026 State WV , Parkersburg South, W, 5-9, Fr. – This kid’s ceiling is as high as she wants it to be. Easy as that. Whether she wants an NAIA, D3, D2, or D-1 opportunity, that is entirely up to her. She has the mindset. She has the attitude. She has the resilience and the fire. She has the physical tools and a high basketball IQ. Basically, she’s in charge of her college destiny. She owns a great shot, easily repeatable for her height. She can get in the lane and to the foul line when she wants. And she knows how to play defense and is a great, coachable kid. Take a number on this Patriot, coaches.
NuNu Pannell NuNu Pannell 5'6" | PG St. Albans | 2026 State WV , St. Albans, PG, 5-5, Fr. – The most intriguing part about Pannell’s time with the W.Va. Thunder and the Red Dragons is how she will evolve as a point guard. You wanna talk about solid pieces for a college game? NuNu has them. There’s a ton to like about Pannell’s game, especially her passing skills. You can see her mind is thinking faster than her body reacts by mere seconds, on a lot of the open passes people around her don’t even see. Once everything comes together, she’s going to be threading a lot of passes most people won’t dare see. She has the gift of solid court vision. Saying that doesn’t even take into account her other abilities. In addition to the passing, she can score and she knows how to steal the ball in the open court.
