Allen can also initiate any offense when running the primary point guard position with her high IQ and ability to make the smart play. Allen also has a smooth mid-range game and a strong dribble to get towards the basket.
Highlights
The 6-0 forward has great size and skills to play multiple positions out on the floor. Her ability to knock down shots from the perimeter also rose to the occasion this spring. McClain often draws double teams and is a strong passer and finisher at the rim. McClain has also brought consistency in a mid-range jump shot that has gotten attention from college coaches. Big senior season looming for McClain as she continues to have a versatile role in the offensive game.
The 5-8 shooting guard received her first offer from Saint Leo University last month is one of the hardest workers in the gym you will find. Atwater primarily handles the point guard duties at Weeki Wachee and has one of the highest IQ’s on the floor often. Atwater is a limitless 3-point shooter who can knock down shots from anywhere within the half court. Her elusive ball-handling skills and ability to finish around the rim and mid-range also have been taken to a new level.
Highlights
The 5-10 shooting guard plays with a ton of physicality on both ends of the floor. She flashes and has the ability to create her own shot on the offensive end. She shoots the ball from the perimeter at a very high level and can defend at a high level as well. She can also finish at the rim with either hand and absorb contact. Englert’s recruitment should start to heat up as she gears up for her senior season at Bolles.
The 5-7 point guard has all the tools to be a complete basketball player. Toombs is quick, shifty and aggressive when the basketball is in her hands as she uses her strength and speed to her advantage. Last season for Fort Myers, Toombs averaged 13.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.4 steals per game while shooting 38 percent from the field. Toombs is also at her best when scoring off the dribble and creating her own shot.
The 5-11 wing is a lethal shooter when it comes to from the perimeter. Her ability to use her length and height creates an advantage out on the 3-point line as she shot 35 percent from beyond the arc as a junior at Somerset Prep last season. Gagnon averaged 12.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game last season and will look to continue to build off that as she gears up for her senior season.
Carreno brings all the complete tools as she has size, height and length to the floor on any given night. Carreno is a gifted 3-point shooter as she continues to gain confidence in her outside shot. She is a percision passer who has great court vision and plays with a high IQ as well. Last season she averaged 12.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game for Seffner Christian who got to the regional final.
The 5-11 small forward can do all the right things whether it’s finishing around the rim, shooting from the mid-range or the occasional 3-point ball. Suggs plays with high potential and is also an elite defender where she can be seen guarding multiple positions. On the offensive end, Suggs plays with an aggressive edge and does a great job at absorbing and finishing tough shots with contact.
The 5-7 guard is an efficient threat from beyond the arc as she shot 30 percent this season. Shorstein’s game has developed every year since her freshman season as her numbers continue to get better. This past season for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Shorstein averaged 10.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game. In addition to scoring from beyond the arc, Shorstein is also a great flasher and can finish around the rim at a high level.
