Plenty of point guards stood out over the weekend at the Buckeye Breakdown. Here are just a few!
Stephanie Grandy, Dayton Vipers
Fiery point guard who moves well and is capable of exploding to the rim to score. Her game is raw right now, but it continues to improve. She works hard to get better, and her athleticism is good enough to cause problems. Watch for her to continue to work on her game.
Danyella Mporokoso, Midwest Elite EYBL
Incredible court vision, she lets the game come to her, but she has all the great qualities of an incredible leader on the floor. Can score, or draw the defenders and dish.

Strong kid at the rim. Cesar for willing to distribute a better shot. I like the way she pushes a ball north of south. Can make things happen.
Abby Garcia, Premier Basketball Club
Like her court sense, good basketball IQ. Can run the offense and distribute the ball. Able to score in a variety of ways. Good body control, and can get to the rim and finish with either hand.
Ellie Lewis, Buckeye State Blast PHX Abner
Can light it up from behind the arc, excellent range, and a good confident shooter. Aggressive and goes after the ball, runs the floor well and handles the basketball under pressure situations.
Maggie Lewandowski, Midwest Elite NIKE
Electric guard who uses a quickness to create. Can penetrate to the rim or hit the mid range shots. Also capable shots from behind the arc, good, solid on ball defender, and a good floor leader with great court vision.
Ma’kayla Williams, Dayton Metro
I have seen her several times in her career and she always brings her best game. She’s electric quick with great handles, and very shifty. Can run the break with the best of them and score in multiple ways, including taking it to the rim not bothered by the defensive pressure.
