Jolie Bonderer Jolie Bonderer 5'9" | SG Chillicothe | 2024 State MO (Kansas Elite 17U- Novicoff): A 5’8″ combo guard from Chillicothe who brings fundamentals and sound play at both ends of the court. I was very impressed with how she constantly blocked out people to get rebounds. He feel for the game and court vision were excellent. She would look up the floor for the lead pass to try to get the quick score. Her offensive game was also good as she could score in the lane well.
*******
Aubrey Shaw (Kansas Eclipse 17U- Blue Star): The 6’2″ 2025 hybrid guard from Blue Valley North (KS) was the most talented player that I watched during the day. She is a smooth lefty who can dominate on the perimeter with her feathery shooting touch from 3-point range and her ability to beat defenders with quick moves off the dribble. She makes the catch and a quick rip-through and she’s at the rim in one dribble shooting a layup. She is a sound ball handler who makes good decision with the ball. She can also get on the offensive boards with her size to get putbacks.
******
Ashtyn Klusmeyer Ashtyn Klusmeyer 5'11" | SF Hickman | 2024 State MO (Kingdom Hoops 17U): A 6’1″ forward from Columbia Hickman who displayed her offensive versatility, which makes her a tough player to match up with. I always enjoy watching her operate in the paint because she can score in a variety of ways. Her footwork is good as she can score on up and under moves. She also has a very nice turnaround jumper in the lane. She can also step out and stretch the floor with her ability to hit 3-pointers.
*******
Addie Owen (Phee Elite 15U- Olufson): The 5’4″ 2026 point guard from Incarnate Word Academy was so fierce with her on-ball defensive pressure that you would think that there are three of her on the court. Her speed and quickness combined with her tenacity make her an elite defensive player. She is also an excellent floor general on the offensive end with her court vision and ability to organize a team. She will also knock down the open 3-pointer as well.
********
Samantha Colvin Samantha Colvin 6'0" | C Lindbergh | 2025 State MO (Mavericks Elite-G 16U): A 6’0″ 2025 forward from Lindbergh who plays an excellent power game around the basket. She seals defenders well and she catches and goes up strong for buckets and trips to the free throw line. The young lefty is also a willing and capable passer when she sees a double team.
*******
Jocelynn Norman ( Team Blackout 17U): The unsigned 2023 guard from Hickman displayed a smooth offensive game when I watched her play. She is very skilled with the ball in her hands, but she doesn’t try to force things. She lets the game come to her in a very mature way. She was unselfish as she made some nifty passes to her open teammates. She could break down defenders off the dribble and knock down the step back 3-pointer.
*******
Ava McIntyre (Oklahoma Swift 16U): A 5’11” 2025 forward who was very impressive with her high motor, especially playing in the 8 a.m. game. She was fresh and energetic as she flied around the rebounds and was consistently going on rim runs. She had a quick second and third jump as she did a good job on the offensive boards as well. That effort led to a very productive early morning game.
*******
Paige Sheppard ( Midwest United 16U): A 5’2″ 2025 point guard from Cardinal Ritter who is very crafty and very under control on the court. She has deceptive quickness and uses her ability to change speeds to get by defenders into the lane, where she can score on a nice floater in the lane. She could also make an open 3-pointer off the catch. She is also a solid defender who will talk and direct traffic and get her teammates in the right spots.
