Today, we take a look at the Missouri Select 17U squad from the SWMO area. After watching a number of games from the spring season, here is a look at the players that we got a chance to watch.
Misora Nambara Misora Nambara 5'4" | PG Republic | 2024 State MO (Republic): A 5’4 2024 point guard who is the consummate floor leader. She has excellent speed and quickness with an uncanny ability to score in the lane amongst the taller players. She can also hit open shots from 3-point range. She is a deft passer with either hand and she is a ball hawk on defense with her on-ball pressure.
Bodie Cox (Lebanon): A 5’11 2024 forward who is a versatile scoring threat from 15 feet in. She can hit the elbow jumper and get to the basket on the drive. She is very good at taking advantage of mismatches. She is excellent at using to backboard to score.
Awbree Berning Awbree Berning 5'10" | CG Republic | 2026 State MO (Republic): A 5’10 2026 wing player who is a resourceful offensive player around the basket. The lefty is strong on the drive, works well in traffic and plays through contact. She handles the ball well and can hit the 3-pointer.
Austin Hall Austin Hall 5'2" | SG Parkview | 2024 State MO (Parkview): A 5’3 guard from Parkview who can really shoot it from downtown. She moves without the ball and she has a very quick release on her shot. She also works on the defensive end as she’s not afraid to get into the action.
Hadley Meyer Hadley Meyer 6'0" | PF Thayer | 2025 State MO (Thayer): A 5’10 2025 forward who has good fundamentals in the low post. She sat down and gave a good target when she established her position. She had good footwork and she finished well off the glass. She was also solid defensively as she used her length to block shots.
Lauren Marron (Piper, KS): A 5’6 2024 guard who came off the bench to provide instant offense with her good perimeter shooting. She has solid handles and makes good decisions. She played good helpside defense where she was good at stripping unsuspecting ball handlers and post players.
Kori Roussell (Ozark). A 5’2 point guard who made some fearless drives to the basket as she the ball right at much taller defenders. She competed well defensively as she moved her feet well and really hustled for loose balls.
Olivia Sutterfield (Parkview): A 5’4 guard who has good speed and was adept at finding a driving lane to the basket. If she is left open, she is capable of knocking down the 3-pointer with a quick release. She is quick and a good competitor on the defensive end.
