Stock-Riser in Future While Having a Great Spring:
Quinasia Abercrombie Quinasia Abercrombie 5'9" | SF Wade Hampton | 2024 State SC and her SC Lady Sixers squad went (4-0) on the weekend here at the LBI Carolina JamFest. Abercrombie scored 30 points in the opening night with Prep Girls Hoops in attendance. Quinasia really makes her game work while playing in the transition game and getting out and scoring the ball at the bucket. She constantly absorbs contact on the way to the rack.
Abercrombie surely doesn’t leave any doubt when playing comes to play hard at all times. She has great athleticism and constantly plays around the ball. Quinasia brings a MOTOR to the floor that never seems to get low and always plays in a very competitive environment. She attends Wade Hampton HS in Greenville and was named SCBCA Class 4A State Player of the Year.
Blake and Jones Give Lowcountry Premier Great Tandem:
Dianna Blake Dianna Blake 6'1" | PF Ashley Ridge | 2024 State SC and Morgan Jones Morgan Jones 5'6" | SG Northwood Academy | 2024 State SC have been doing it all spring long for the Lowcountry Premier squad. Blake is a constant double-double who carves out space and scoring situations around the basket. Dianna does a nice job of keeping the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She can handle the rock up floor sometimes on the break. Dianna shows a great set of hands to catch anything thrown in her direction. She really understands angles on how to seal and use body down low on the block.
Dianna plays at Ashley Ridge HS in Summerville for Head Coach Jimmy Brown.
Jones continues her solid play this spring from the perimeter. Morgan can deliver the perimeter shooting while her teammate Blake does her best work inside the paint. Morgan has nice elevation on her shot and really gives her a threat from behind the arc. She can extend the defense with her ability to make deep range threes or settle for the mid -range jumper. Morgan will be at Northwood Academy this coming fall after just playing one semester last season for the Lady Chargers. Jones had previously attended Pinewood Prep before coming over to Northwood Academy last fall.
Class of 2024 in Attendance:
Terriana Gray Terriana Gray 5'9" | SF A.C. Flora | 2024 State SC , Norriyah Bradley Norriyah Bradley 5'9" | SF Aiken | 2024 State SC and Caitlin Bowling Caitlin Bowling 5'5" | PG JL Mann | 2024 State SC all had good showings here with us in the building. Gray a staple here with South Carolina Future 11th was attacking the basket all game long today. Terriana and the Future suffered a loss today to Boo Williams. Gray brings a competitive edge to the floor and a willingness to swarm the ball. She’s constantly on the move on both ends of the floor. Terriana really likes to play the game in transition while having the ball in her hands.
Bradley who hails from Aiken HS in the Western part of the Palmetto State. She was able to take the ball coast to coast at times and while showcasing some fancy dibbling along the way. Norriyah likes to play the game in attack mode to the rack. She runs with Team Elite Solomon on the Grassroots Circuit.
Bowling recently joined the SC Lady Sixers after starting the spring with the SC Eagles. Bowling who attends JL Mann HS brought some outside shooting and defense to the table for the Red and Black. The SC Lady Sixers finished the weekend at (4-0).
