The Patriots’ contest against SCISA 4A power Heathwood Hall was a tough one to say the least for the team. Bowling proved to be a bright spot as she led J.L. Mann scoring-wise with 14 points. One of Bowling’s strong suits is her ability to finish strong at the rim – and that is a byproduct of the emphasis she places on herself as a ball handler. She primarily plays as a point guard and is listed at 5-foot-3. With two of the team’s seniors from last season having graduated, emphasis will be on Bowling to provide veteran leadership for the Patriots the next couple of seasons.

Prep Girls Hoops became very familiar with Bowling over the spring and summer months. She participated in grassroots ball with FCA Eagles 2024 and they were a team that made its presence felt on the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit’s Triumph Region – including at the Music City Showdown just outside of Nashville. While she is adept at draining her 3-point tries, Bowling will also draw contact and get to the free throw line for either a pair or to complete an old-school 3-point play. Bowling is a constant possibility to go the other way with the ball and has a knack for how to make the right passes.

Bowling is another unsung hero at JL Mann that may no longer be that unsung in the coming two seasons. During the grassroots season, she wore the purple of FCA Eagles 2024 and had a schedule that included the Music City Showdown on the Triumph Region of the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. Bowling has no problems upping a team’s offensive output from behind the 3-point line and also has no problems absorbing contact and getting to the free throw line. She puts crooked numbers of scores on the board, is a threat consistently to steal the ball and go the other way with it. Accurate passes are another part of Bowling’s complete skillset.
