The high school season unfortunately ended about a month ago, and we weren't fully able to finish up our accolades, conference-to-conference, league-to-league, about the best players throughout. In early May, our goal is to wrap up our postseason honors for New Jersey, beginning with this article, the First Team for the UCC and Player of the Year.

Union County Conference First Team

[player_tooltip player_id='325204' first='Amanda' last='Baylock'] - Scotch Plains-Fanwood (2024) - 2022-23 UCC Player of the Year

Baylock was an easy pick for us to make the First Team for the Union County Conference, and what a year she had. Averaging 21.1 PPG, along with 3.3 RPG, 2.4 APG and 3.7 SPG, her play stood out amongst the rest for our Player of the Year selection. What a season, and not to mention she was one of the best three-point shooters in the conference, if not the best, hitting 2.5 a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='488640' first='Zoe' last='Boston'] - Roselle (2024)

This forward had it working and then some for Roselle last season, averaging a double-double at 19.5 PPG and 11.1 RPG, adding in 1.9 BPG and 1.6 SPG to the mix. It was her second-straight season in high school averaging a double-double, but playing in six more games this season for Roselle, she stepped up her game and commanded the floor in a way we haven't seen yet out of her. Incredible stats and an incredible performer, she more than deserves a spot on this list.

[player_tooltip player_id='321573' first='Annie' last='Ryan'] - Westfield (2023)

It was a coming out party for Ryan in her senior season with Westfield, and what a senior season for the guard, averaging a career-high 14.2 PPG, 2.9 SPG and nearly two made three-pointers a game. She crossed the 100 three-point mark and 1000 point mark in her career in the same season, stepping up her offensive game to new heights and new success.

[player_tooltip player_id='325196' first='Grace' last='Kinum'] - New Providence (2024)

UCC fans are going to be happy and dread the fact that Kinum will be back for her senior season in the winter after a spectacular junior campaign for New Providence where she averaged 12 PPG, 4.2 RPG and 4.3 APG in 31 games. She also averaged a career-high 0.7 BPG and had 78 steals, more than 2.5 a game. A jack of all trades on the court and a well-rounded guard, Kinum was among the assist leaders in the conference last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='321569' first='Meghan' last='Lamanna'] - New Providence (2023)

Consistency is the name of the game with Lamanna and she produced at an elite level as a senior for New Providence, averaging 13.7 PPG, 3.5 RPG and 2.2 APG last season along with 1.7 SPG and 1.7 made three-pointers a game, both career-highs for her. We couldn't not have the Group II champions well-represented on the roster, and Lamanna was the de-facto leader of the bunch, putting together incredible performances down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='414347' first='Jasmin' last='McKay'] - Roselle Catholic (2025)

McKay is the youngest player of our First Team selections, but more than deserving of a spot on this list. She averaged 17.1 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 3.8 APG, 3.9 SPG and 1.2 made three-pointers a game for Roselle Catholic last season, just impressive, yet balanced stats from her. If RC needed a bucket, McKay was the player to provide it, and she was clutch on more than a few occasions last season.
