River City Run: 17U Sunday Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another day full of hoops at PGH's River City Run, we saw a lot of quality competition and talented players in the gym. She's usually going to have the advantage when it comes to height, strength, and size. She can get rebounds all game long and she has great hands around the basket. She kept her hands ready to catch passes and she keeps the ball high. Excellent moves and finishes around the basket. Doesn't give up on plays and keeps getting rebounds on misses. She scored in every possible way which continuously made it extremely hard for the defense to get stops. She handles the ball well, handles contact well, and can make plays for her teammates. She can pull-up off the dribble or get all the way to the rim. She can knock down outside shots with a player running at her. Got stops defensively as well. Offensively, did good stuff inside and out. Moves well without the ball. Can post when she has a mismatch. Makes good passes, sees the floor, handles pressure, keeps the ball low when she's handling it. She also makes strong drives to the rim and can finish with contact. She was controlling the tempo from the point and was vocal when she didn't have the ball in her hands. Excellent shot and can knock them down with good range. Smooth ball handling skills. She's very crafty with the ball and her handles along with her quickness make it difficult for the defense to stay in front. Was knocking down 3's and midrange jumpers off of the dribble along with getting to the rim. Made great passes in transition.
