Ava Harwood Ava Harwood 5’11” | PF Hersey | 2024 IL put it all out on the court this weekend. Her boundless energy was channeled into her play. A multi-sport athlete, she brings her fierce competitiveness to the defensive end of the court. She is not afraid to fight for the ball and usually comes up with the ball in her hands. She is a solid shooter and her screen setting is solid-which allows ample opportunities for her teammates to score.
Highlights
Samantha was on her game this weekend. She is one of those unique players who can adjust their style of play based on the situation. Her speed is on full display when she runs the floor. She is an excellent shooter from anywhere on the court which increases her threat.
One of the most talented guards in her class, Gina Davorjia can do it all. Not only is she a scoring threat from anywhere on the court, especially at the 3, her defensive skills are just as sharp. She plays tight defense and frustrates the heck out of her opponents. A skilled passer, if she isn’t the one scoring, she is getting the ball in the hands of someone who can.
The DePaul recruit does everything right. Her ball-handling skills allow her to gain space to get her beautiful shot off. She is aggressive when pushing the ball up the court. She knows exactly how to move her body to score in transition. She makes amazing passes, perfectly placing them to where her teammates can get them.
Good luck trying to get anything done if Kate Trella Kate Trella 5’9″ | PF Deerfield | 2024 IL is guarding you. If you are in her path, she will use the entire length of her body to block a shot. Those blocked shots convert to steals which turn into points. Her length comes in handy when pulling down the countless rebounds. She is a great communicator on the court, can handle the ball and can score with ease.
