What Ava brings to the defensive end of the floor can’t be missed. She’s one of those players that can be plugged into a system and find ways to succeed. Defensively, she has the size to be stone like in the paint. She holds her position well, and makes it difficult for players to backdown. Strong IQ on the defensive side of the ball, and a motor on the boards.

Ava Harwood Ava Harwood 5'11" | PF Hersey | 2024 IL put it all out on the court this weekend. Her boundless energy was channeled into her play. A multi-sport athlete, she brings her fierce competitiveness to the defensive end of the court. She is not afraid to fight for the ball and usually comes up with the ball in her hands. She is a solid shooter and her screen setting is solid-which allows ample opportunities for her teammates to score.

No agenda by any means when it comes Harwood. Her comfortability with playing multiple roles has always stood out. On any given night, her role can change, and Ava will still give 100% to whatever it is. Scoring? She can do it. Defender? Multiple positions.. perimeter and paint. Ava is your plug and play type of player.
