I don't care if it's midrange or lang rane, coming off of screens, or creating your shot under pressure, I love to see players take and knock down shots and when I see those who can "catch and shoot" with a hand in their face, I just smile. Here are some of the best but remember, Reese Crabtree-5'7 G (Argyle) [program_tooltip program_id='715168' first='True' last='Texas Hoops'] 2025 S40 [2025] was one of the best, check her out on the GAMECHANGERS article

[player_tooltip player_id='781771' first='Maya' last='Dodson']-5'9 ([program_tooltip program_id='715705' first='C4' last='Attack']) Durant [2024}

Dodson smoothly sets up the defender with a deceptive first step to create her shot and she elevates and drops it from mid to long-range with ease. She also showed a nice step back but her ability to drop it under pressure was one of the best on opening day

HC Harding-5'7 ([program_tooltip program_id='715168' first='True' last='Texas Hoops'] 2025 S40) Grapevine Faith [2025]

Harding was one of the best "catch and shoot" shooters I caught and I'm talking about from deep. She knows where she is on the court and she's ready to let it go. Her release is fluid and she dropped it with a hand in her face

Kinsey Morris-5'8 ([program_tooltip program_id='715168' first='True' last='Texas Hoops'] 2025 S40) Byron Nelson

Morris was another player that impressed e with her ability to "catch and shoot" and she showed it off the screen as well as in the set yet she also dropped the jumper in transition. Her court vision was solid, she also attacked the basket and finished

Presley Hindash-5'7 ([program_tooltip program_id='715158' first='Team' last='Stay Ready'] 2025) Fox MS [2028]

Hindash impressed me with her poise and shooting the ball with confidence yet after looking at the roster and seeing her graduating class, whoa, her playing up and dropping it while being defended speaks volumes. She has a solid pull-up in the set as well as in the transition, from mid to long-range, and she does a good job scoring off the dribble

[player_tooltip player_id='465493' first='Sidni' last='Middleton']-5'9 (Hoop Life 2024) Vilonoa [2025]

Middleton gave me a look at her ability to set the defender up on both days and watched her show both the "stop and pop" in transition as well as the "catch and shoot" from deep was nice but she understands how to also create and drop it from midrange

Destiney Hopkins-5'7 ([program_tooltip program_id='713388' first='West' last='Texas [program_tooltip program_id='712750' first='Shock' last='']ers'] 2024) Hermiegh [2024]

Hopkins shoots it well and watching her elevate and release it smoothly got my attention early but she also stays with it, even when she knows contact is coming, a perfect example was her completing a 4-point play after dropping the 3 after contact. She also scores off the dribble and finishes strongly

[player_tooltip player_id='883717' first='Mattie' last='Dollar']-5'9 (TX Platinum 2025 S40 Dollar) Martin's Mill [2025]

Dollar has the right last name and her teammates understand how to give her her change when she's on. Mid to long-range is more than solid, yeas she also can "catch and shoot" but she finds ways to score, either off the dribble or rebounding and scoring over taller players for putbacks

Jaslynn Marsh-5'4 ([program_tooltip program_id='716243' first='Lady' last='Sharks'] 2024) North Forney [2024]

Marsh has shown me something different in each event I've caught her in on the PGH Circuit but her long-ball shooting stood out in a huge way over the weekend. She can run the 1 and the 2, yet the 3 was smoking. She saw the floor and handled the ball under pressure, plus she blocked shots and played the passing lane
