<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri released its newly updated Class of 2024 rankings this week. We begin our positional rankings with a look at the top point/combo guards in the class.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='194410' first='JaNyla' last='Bush'] (Vashon): The talented 5'6 point guard was the spark plug and catalyst for the Wolverines in their run to the Class 4 state championship, the first in the school's history in girls basketball. She controls games with her speed, quickness and high basketball IQ. She creates buckets from all three levels and she also distributes the ball very well. The Missouri State commit averaged 15.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range with 55 made triples.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='202412' first='Allie' last='Turner'] (John Burroughs): The 5'9 point guard followed up last year's state championship campaign with another big season as she led the Bombers to a 26-4 record and a berth in the Class 5 state quarterfinals. She's the consummate floor general who is cool under pressure and never gets sped up. She is also an excellent 3-point shooter. She averaged 16.3 points while making a whopping 105 3-pointers. She also averaged 4.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals a game.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='194409' first='Chantrel' last='Clayton'] (Vashon): The 5'7" combo guard was the other half of the best backcourt in the state with [player_tooltip player_id='194410' first='JaNyla' last='Bush'] for the Class 4 state champions. She is a very gifted offensive player who can create off the dribble and get a bucket from all three levels. The young lady they call "Tutu" averaged 16.1 points, three assists and three steals while shooting 43 percent from 3-point range and making 67 triples.</p>

<p>Clara Swearingin (Nevada): The 5'7" guard was a Class 4 All-State performer and the Player of the Year in the Big Eight Conference West Division. She is an excellent playmaker with excellent shooting range that extends well beyond the 3-point line. She can also create her own shot off the dribble. She averaged 17.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and two assists a game while shooting 45 percent from the field.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='424372' first='Korrie' last='Holcer'] (Meadville): The 5'7" guard was one of leaders and top players for Meadville's 31-0 squad that won the Class 1 state championship. She's an excellent two-way player who excels in her team's fast paced system. She displayed her 3-point shooting prowess by making 105 triples this past season. She also averaged 19 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 5.1 steals.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='213188' first='Jayla' last='Cornelius'] (Blue Springs): The 5'7" guard has been a standout for the Wildcats for four varsity seasons. As a junior, she averaged 14.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals a game while making 45 3-pointers.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='194528' first='Emily' last='Recker'] (St. James): A 5'7" point guard who helped lead the Tigers to a 20-8 record and a Class 4 district championship. She is a good floor leader who plays with good pace. She distributes the ball well and she is also a capable scorer when she has to. She averaged 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals a game.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='194420' first='Chloe' last='Bukowsky'] (Southern Boone): The 5'7" point guard helped Southern Boone achieve a special season which ended in the Final Four of the Class 4 state tournament. Her Corner 3-pointer in the last second gave SoBo the victory in the state quarterfinals, which showed her clutch gene. She is a solid ball handler and passer who can really shoot the ball. She averaged 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals a game.</p>
