Here are some of the players that moved up the list, next update will be in October

#2 [player_tooltip player_id='388151' first='Arianna' last='Roberson']

Up from #11 after helping lead her SA Clark high school team to a state tournament championship, she started the club season off with a bang. She's long and athletic, and her scoring around the basket and timing along with rebounding is helping her become a player that can dominate on both ends of the court

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='498830' first='Mariah' last='Clayton']

Up from #26 and there's a reason why, she hasn't settled. Her never takes a play-off mindset shows up no matter what the score is and watching her battle and outrebound taller players is something I can always count on seeing. She is strong and finishes powerfully around the basket but that power also shows when she attacks. The midrange has taken off and her defense is solid

#11 [player_tooltip player_id='309654' first='Kiyleyah' last='Parr']

Up from #19 proves #sizedontmatter when you can play and she also gets an ! mark to go after that statement. Her taking over games has been a pleasure to catch whenever I saw her play, in fact, she is one of those players I got up to find out what her name was because there was no roster information, why because she was a LEGITIMATE PLAYER. She helped lead LaVega to a state championship and is one of the main reasons they have a shot at repeating

#16 [player_tooltip player_id='158877' first='Skye' last='Pepp']

Up from #20 with more than a little Pepp in her step, had she not been injured down the stretch last season, the state champion may have looked different but her athleticism on both ends always stands out. She can score off the dribble, she can drop the jumper but she can run a team and make those around her better. She's been on a tear with her new club team Mavs Elite on the GUAA circuit and I'm expecting a big July as she also is tenacious on defense

#19 [player_tooltip player_id='590858' first='Mia' last='Hammonds']

Up from #27, she started the transformation in front of me at the Texas Invitational last season where she was dominant inside the paint, blocking shots galore as she came out of nowhere to reject them. She also scored around the basket after contact and was solid in the paint on defense. What she has added was dropping the midrange as well as scoring off the dribble and finishing strongly

#20 [player_tooltip player_id='270663' first='Shunteria' last='Anumele']

Up from #47 has had an impressive club season and recently committed to Liberty but her strength has always been one of her pluses and watching her rebound and go coast to coast for years has been a treat. Her outside shooting kept getting better yet her unselfishness and court vision make her a threat offensively in so many aspects. Oh yeah, she plays the passing lane

#39 [player_tooltip player_id='206970' first='Madison' last='Martin']

Up from #49, she considers taking defenders however she wants and her electrifying moves to the basket are definitely entertaining. I love her court vision from the other end as well as the set as her blistering passes in traffic are on the money and set teammates up for easy baskets but her mid to long-range, her scoring off the dribble along with her on-the-ball pressure are all huge pluses

#40 [player_tooltip player_id='158878' first='Aniah' last='Alexis']

Up from #47 said "Don't call it a comeback" so I won't and watching her return to where she was has been a treat and for me, I caught her doing the playoffs simply taking over a game offensively, I mean 5 or 6 threes in a row take over but she showed that in the 8th grade and watching her work on her midrange and court vision has continued to get better

#42 [player_tooltip player_id='134059' first='Rayna' last='Williams']

Up from #48 and it's sad that I have had her listed in multiple classes because of erroneous rosters over the years but make no mistake, her being long and athletic and able to not only drop it from the outside but score off the dribble as well as around the basket yet her timing to block, alter and (or} deflect shots along with playing the passing lane stands out, especially since she handles the ball afterward in the open court

#55 [player_tooltip player_id='309649' first='Joemoriah' last='Ben']

Up from #88, if you take the time to watch her, you will understand she will not be outworked, and when you see players diving for loose balls at the beginning of the game, a light bulb should go off. She's one of the top "on the ball" defenders at the guard spot in the state, she rebounds and plays the passing lane but her jumper is consistent from mid to long range. She also attacks explosively and finishes after contact, and she plays the passing lane

#58 [player_tooltip player_id='585115' first='Gabby' last='Morales']

Up from #66 watching her outmuscle and outmaneuver players at the Heart Of Texas told me she added mass, and her rebounding and scoring on outbacks after contact was very nice. She also scored around the basket but her rebounding on the other end and handling the ball the length of to court to either drop the jumper or dish for assists had me smiling

#63 [player_tooltip player_id='417979' first='DaNae' last='Crosby']

Up from #78, she too is one of the state's top defenders, and her #THROWBACK mentality is what got her on the list the first time. I just love things from another era, she understands how to force players into the trap, apply heat and pick up their dribble yet her hands are so fast that she swipes the ball and takes off the other way to score or assist. Speaking of assists, she also throws the no-look going full speed as good as anyone I have seen in my 20 years of doing this, her pull-up jumper is nasty, she attacks ad finishes acrobatically
