I love this opportunity for athletes to show college coaches their skills in such a unique way since most of the time these coaches are watching these players with their AAU teams rather than their high school team. GRC put on an awesome event called the Cardinal Classic and it drew in an excellent slate of college coaches across all levels. There were a ton of talented teams competing, including some of the top teams in the surrounding states. I placed a focus on catching as many Kentucky teams I could in the 2 day period. I actually did something a little different for this article, typing out the notes exactly how I wrote them as I was there, so my apologies for the lack of sentence structure at times. However, here are some of my standouts from Friday.
Corbin 35 Notre Dame 31
Kallie Housley Kallie Housley 5'6" | SG Corbin | 2024 State KY (Corbin)
Great crafty drives. Really solid ball handler who creates well for teammates. Good court vision and strong passes. Can score inside or out. Does it all.
Kylie Clem (Corbin)
Quick and very good on both ends of the floor. Plays hard. Handles the ball, makes good passes, and showed an ability to score in different ways.

Made some great moves to create good looks. Can really create space between herself and her defender. Good ball handling and isn’t afraid of physicality.
Emma Holtzapfel (Notre Dame)
Good length and active. Had some great blocks. Good outside shot. Good drives consistently drew help defense.

When she came off the bench, I noticed she has some solid guard skills for a 2027. Works hard. Isn’t afraid of physicality. Handled the ball well.
Dixie Heights 46 Bullitt East 38
Anna Tinelli Anna Tinelli 5'7" | PG Bullitt East | 2026 State KY (Bullitt East)
Quick PG. Can create good looks for herself and her teammates. Great use of fakes to get the defense off their feet. Seems like she’s ready to take over more as a scorer this season which will be great for BE. Did exceptionally well on the boards, especially considering she was the Chargers primary PG.
Lyla Packer (Bullitt East)
Great size. Rebounds well. Good moves around the basket. Just keeps improving and is only a 2027. Her older sister,

, has made a big jump as well. Her versatility should really help Bullitt East this season.
Avery Moore (Dixie Heights)
Strong and tough. Really good on the boards. Nice shot. Good drives. Plays hard. Has good form on her outside shot and doesn’t need much space to get it off. Looked strong when handling the ball.
Aubrey Elkins (Dixie Heights)
Great defense. Very active hands. Aggressive and fearless on drives. Floaters, midrange, and outside shots showed her ability to score at all levels. Crashed the boards hard.
Madison Central 51 Fleming County 28
Cameryn Ridderikhoff Cameryn Ridderikhoff 5'10" | SF Madison Central | 2025 State KY (Madison Central)
Always poised and in control. Lefty. Can shoot with deep range from 3. Solid drives to get into the lane. Finished strong at the rim.

Really quick and great handles. Hesitation and moves with the ball made the defense shift. Good passes but also great drives and finishes.
Ameerah Jackson (Fleming County)
Good size and strength. Great moves and passes from the post. Strong rebounds.
