Morgan Cammon-6’2 (Phoenix Gold) 2024
Cammon has always been powerful inside yet her college-ready frame and being able to take the physicality has gotten better and so has her scoring around the basket after contact. She did a good job rebounding on both ends of the court as well as running the floor, on both ends and her defense has improved outside the paint, it’s solid inside of it She showed some nice hands and footwork several times
Nevaeh Jones Nevaeh Jones 6'2" | C Manor | 2025 State TX -6’2 (Phoenix 2025) 2024
Jones grabbed my attention when she was in the 7th grade and watching her expand her game over the years has been nice. She’s strong around the basket, and she battles for everything off the rim yet her timing to block, alter, and (or) deflect shots has been nice too yet she’s not only scoring around the basket, she’s facing the basket and dropping the short jumper as well as scoring off the dribble
Jemima Yowa-6’3 ( Austin Elite 2024 RFW) 2024
Yowa told me she hasn’t been playing very long, I caught her during the holidays with her Pflugerville school team, and let me say this, she has been working. She’s long and athletic, remember that is the base and her doing things at times effortlessly and instinctively, like following the ball off the rim and BATTLING for loose balls had me smiling because her intensity level has shot up and she’s finishing after contact
Abigail Williams Abigail Williams 6'2" | C Vista Ridge | 2025 State TX -6’2 (Phoenix 2025) 2025
Williams is another player who has added an abundance of extras to go along with her college-ready body. She’s more aggressive inside the paint, she actually scored with a player literally hanging on her but watching her being more agile as well as her lateral movement on defense was nice. She dropped the midrange jumper, well she’s doing it in every event I’ve caught her in and her scoring from the wing off the dribble has also improved
Jazz Betts-6’0 ( SETX Elite )
Betts as in “all BETTS are off” as she may not be at the “magic number” of 6’0, she plays like she is and that’s #THRO WBA CK. You can’t teach HEART nor DESIRE and she will not be outworked inside the paint. She also attacked from the baseline, she finished after contact but her court vision in the set was nice, and so was her defense both inside and outside the paint plus she played the passing lane
Lauryn Gentle-6’1 ( Houston United Hoops Elite 17U) 2023
Gentle she isn’t as she put in some “blue collar” work and her being relentless going after everything had me smiling. I looked at some of the action shots I have of her and played things back in my head, she finished with either hand after contact on putbacks plus she made some nice moves around the basket to score. Her defense inside the paint also needs to be mentioned along with her diving on the floor for loose balls
