Strode was effective setting up Cherokee Trail’s halfcourt offense, rarely rushing a possession. The guard was especially effective at the point of attack, staying in front of any primary initiators on the opposition. Strode’s lateral quickness makes her a dangerous perimeter defender, getting a hand into the opponents. She will be a crucial facilitator for this group, truly raising this team’s floor.
Damara Allen – Cherokee Trail – 2024
Allen is a frequent cover, in large part due to her constant work ethic and consistent production. The guard does well getting downhill, blowing by plenty of opponents off the first step. Given her soft touch in the paint, opponents are aggressive walling off the lane, luckily Allen is a dynamic shotmaker off the dribble. Defensively, she was dependable as always, matching up versus a variety of opponents.
Rose Pacheco Rose Pacheco 5'7" | CG Niwot | 2025 State CO – Niwot – 2025
Pacheco shows value as a playmaker, doing well to consistently be a threat either on or off the ball. The lead guard does well getting downhill, oftentimes attacking straight off the catch while the defense is not yet ready. Should she be denied a lane, Pacheco is always cutting through the interior, keeping her defender honest at all times. As the game begins to slow down for her in the half court, look for Pacheco’s scoring efficiency inside the arc to rise.
Brooklynn Charlo Brooklynn Charlo 6'0" | CG Riverdale Ridge | 2025 State CO – Riverdale Ridge – 2025
Charlo will be a worthwhile prospect to track, given her playmaking ability at roughly 6′ tall. She does well surveying the floor for openings, keeping the ball moving. The incoming junior showed prowess getting to her spots, most often contributing on attempts around the basket. Her defensive upside is notable, given her wide reach, she is already a dependable matchup against both backcourt positions and small forwards.
Brooke Gomez – Westminster – 2024
Gomez has been a steady performer with Westminster in a wide variety of areas. From defensive rotations to passing vision, the guard brings a team friendly skill set. The combo guard has shown value matching up with both backcourt positions, proving quick enough laterally and sturdy taking bumps. Gomez shows consistent hustle on the glass, doing her part to attack the glass with urgency nearly every possession. Off of defensive rebounds, the incoming senior is always surveying the floor for transition opportunities, always ready to launch an outlet pass.
Aaliyah Broadus Aaliyah Broadus 5'10" | SF Cherokee Trail | 2026 State CO – Cherokee Trail – 2026
Broadus is a tough cover, especially so for an incoming sophomore. The small forward fit into the halfcourt offense like a glove, knocking down jumpers and utilizing her ball handling ability to get downhill. Whether from beyond the arc or from the mid-range, Broadus has a fluid jump shot that may be leveraged from pull-ups and spot-up jumpers. Her notable physicality and ball handling ability allow her to get downhill under control, often pushing around opposing defenders. On defense, Broadus holds her own versus a variety of positions, proving capable on the glass. There is no doubt she will be a coveted prospect among NCAA programs, just a matter of when the offers begin rolling in.
