Diekman is a terrific all around athlete that’s always in tune with her movement. How about this for a year: She was a key contributor to a regional championship in golf. Then helped Vicksburg win their first ever Wolverine Conference championship in basketball. Diekman and her softball team just won a regional championship in softball. Winners win and that’s what Diekman does. Make sure to see her on the basketball court ASAP.
Brown is a versatile and talented prospect that some coaches will want to have an eye on. She has length and athleticism that she really uses well on the defensive end and on the glass. Brown has shown that she can effectively defend very high quality post players. She moves well and can get down the floor. Brown can grab a rebound and hit an outlet as well as take it on her own off the board.
Kapelke is a talented basketball player and prospect that could have a very big season. It all starts on the defensive end for this talented player. Her offense feeds off her D, and that’s a great thing. Kapelke has an eye for the ball and will hit the passing lanes in a flash. If an offensive player doesn’t protect the ball, she can use her quick hands and swipe it away. Kapelke is perfectly comfortable playing at a high speed as well.
Mees is a prospect that definitely deserves to see her name in ink and get some exposure. She’s floated a little under the radar, but don’t let it fool you, she’s had a very good spring grassroots season. I think you’ll hear her name a lot for Michigan Center this winter. Mees is a good shooter with 3 point range. She’s also shown good touch around the basket and from the mid range.
Prince is a talented young player with tons of skill and upside. She was named honorable mention all-conference in her freshman season. Prince is a flat out scorer at heart and led her Troy team in scoring this past winter. She’s shifty and dangerous with the ball in her hands. Pronce looks poised and ready for a huge sophomore season and should be on a lot of college coach’s radars.
