Expert Analysis
Evan Bell | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Hailey committed to play basketball at Spring Arbor following her senior year and I expect her to be a breakout player for Michigan Center this winter. Hailey is a shifty ball-handler who beats defenders off the dribble and drives by for layups in transition. She pushes the tempo, generates steals with her defensive effort, and demonstrates toughness on the court. Hailey will be a significant senior leader for the Cardinals and she has All-Conference potential in 2024.

Hailey was relentless on defense and her ball pressure produced many transition points for Michigan Center at the SAU Shootout on Monday. Hailey swiped the ball away and scored layups in transition. She took a defensive rebound coast to coast and used an inside-out dribble to beat her defender to score a layup. Hailey converted layups efficiently off the dribble and led the way on both ends for her team.

Mees could really get her name and game fresh on the minds of coaches and scouts at the event. She’s been a sneaky solid scorer, showing she can get buckets at all 3 levels. Mees has a nice stroke from beyond the arc, can hit from the mid range and has a feel and finesse near the rim.

Mees is a prospect that definitely deserves to see her name in ink and get some exposure. She’s floated a little under the radar, but don’t let it fool you, she’s had a very good spring grassroots season. I think you’ll hear her name a lot for Michigan Center this winter. Mees is a good shooter with 3 point range. She’s also shown good touch around the basket and from the mid range.
