While the game is controlled much by guards there are plenty of players who choose to operate mostly close to the rim.

Here I take a look at a few of them who are very good at it.

[player_tooltip player_id='205643' first='Aniyah' last='Riddell'] Desert Vista (Featured Image)

Aniyah is highly productive in the low post despite being double teamed quite often. She has very good footwork and excellent hands. Once she catches it and gathers herself she's going to work. One of the hottest prospects in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='588549' first='Adeang' last='Ring'] [program_tooltip program_id='713210' first='Bella' last='Vista Prep']

Ring is a rim runner whose production is starting to catch up with her measurables. She has a long wingspan and good hands. She also has a good touch that extends outside of the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='586382' first='Emma' last='Dasovich'] Valley Vista

Armed with very good footwork and a soft touch out to the three point line. Emma should make a leap up in productivity after transferring in from Minnesota. She has a very high basketball IQ and knows when to use it. Big senior season ahead for her.

[player_tooltip player_id='205662' first='Katelyn' last='Best'] Northwest Christian

Best is an agile forward who works hard in the paint. She gets to her favorite spots by battling opponents and being tough. She can go by players her size using either hand to finish and can also face up and shoot it.

[player_tooltip player_id='669795' first='Caitlyn' last='Benally'] Seton Catholic

One of my favorite interior players in the state. She has a no nonsense approach in the paint. When she gets the ball she goes right to work putting pressure on the defense constantly.

[player_tooltip player_id='605055' first='Rachel' last='Roderick'] Sedona Red Rock

Roderick is a bonafide center and her game shows it. She knows how to use her body to her advantage and uses it to take up plenty of space on the offensive end. She grabs rebounds out of area and is tough to move.
