We will look at some of the rising post players in the updated rankings for Michigan’s class of 2024. This “rising” can be in numbers next to their name and otherwise.
The higher up the list, the harder it is to rise. But Bisballe did just that. She recently committed to the University of Wisconsin and it looks like the Badgers got a steal. Bisballe’s post footwork, touch on the ball and work on the glass have always been elite. It was her post passing that stood out to me over grassroots season.
Williams is a prospect that has caught a lot of people’s attention. She has length that she uses well on the glass. Williams keeps the ball high and goes right back up off an offensive rebound, making it tough for her opponent to contest it. She can run the floor well and I like the way she passes off the high post.
I’ve written about Mount a lot lately, but she has to be here in this article. She’s risen as much as, if not more, than any post player in the class. Mount is flat out usually just stronger and more physical. She brings an intensity to the floor and a desire to be great. I’d look for Mount to average a points and rebounds double-double this high school season.
I don’t know if the number by her name dpes justice to her game. No worries Miss Kellenberger, college coaches are coming either. She’s a next level post player, I don’t think there’s any doubt. Kellenberger is shifty on the offensive glass and has a knack for picking up 2nd chance points. She’s gotten stronger and more physical which bodes well for the next level.
Highlights
Gaytan saw her stock rise throughout the spring and the summer. She’s committed to Grand Valley State University. I like the way she works with her back the basket and the way she plays off contact. Gaytan does a nice job locating her opponent with the contact and using it put them where she wants them.
