When you watch this clip it will be very easy to see why Mount is considered an elite post player in Michigan. She initiates contact and plays off of it by feeling it and putting herself in scoring position based on her defenders position. Mount finishes well over her left shoulder, even showing off a fake and spin to the left with a nice finish. She isn’t just pure power either. We see Mount step back and bury jumpers, keeping the floor spread.

in their way at the rim. It’s nearly impossible to finish through her because of her power and physicality. Coaches will have to game plan around her rim protection.

Mount has been building and prepping for this season for a while now. Trust me when I say that she’s ready. She’s committed to Detroit Mercy so all the recruiting worries and pressure are off the table. The only thing that matches Mount’s intensity is her physical strength near the rim. She really has the chance to dominate off the block on a nightly basis this season. With athletic guards like Maya Anderson on the roster, there will be plenty of opportunities for her.

I’ve written about Mount a lot lately, but she has to be here in this article. She’s risen as much as, if not more, than any post player in the class. Mount is flat out usually just stronger and more physical. She brings an intensity to the floor and a desire to be great. I’d look for Mount to average a points and rebounds double-double this high school season.

Mount has made a very loud statement about her game throughout the summer. The 1Nation star has been physically dominating, even against top notch competition. She’s used her strength and physicality on the glass, extending offensive possessions and limiting them on the defensive end. Mount is an expert at establishing position and using it to create good looks at the rim.

Mount was one of the most impressive players in the gym. She was an absolute beast in the paint and is a game changer down low. Mount was strong enough and physical enough to constantly win position on or near the block. And she didn’t just win position down low, she also made the most of it. Mount had nice touch on the ball and scored at a very high percentage. She’s going to be a big problem for opponents for the foreseeable future.

Mount keeps improving her game at a rapid rate. She attacks the glass and rebounds the ball high overtop of opposing post players.

Mount is just such a talented post player. She goes up after a rebound. On the offensive end, a rebound doesn’t stick in her hands. Mount gets it back up for a put back bucket with a quickness.

Granted, I was slow to the game with Mount, but her rise up the list is drastic. She combines brute strength and touch in a way that not many can do. Mount reads the ball off the rim and gets after it. When she gets an offensive rebound, it feels like her put back attempt is off her finger tips before it even gets there. That makes for a lot of high percentage looks.
