We are up to 76 rising juniors for the 2025 class. There are some obvious big school stars but here are some small school standouts that I wanted to mention. This is a very good group of small school standouts.

[player_tooltip player_id='443661' first='Olivia' last='Owens'] Phoenix Country Day

One of the top guards in the class happens to be a small school dynamo. She is arguably the most athletic guard in the class and rivals most in the state. She has quick twitch athleticism, great length combined with speed. She handles the ball and can get downhill using her strength and quicker first step. She can hit perimeter jumpers and defend. She moved up to #3 in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id='582391' first='Aila' last='Kaibara'] Phoenix Country Day

A versatile guard is another who can play both spots on the court. She is a natural lead guard and looks to make plays but can definitely score. She can rattle in threes off the catch or dribble and use a hesitation move to get into the lane and score thru contact. Kaibara and Owens form one of the best back courts of any small school in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='673101' first='Demetria' last='Dosela'] Miami

A sturdy framed lefty forward is a three level scorer. She competes at a high level and is versatile and tough to score inside the paint plus step outside and launch from deep. She can hit the three, pull-up from mid-range and dribble drive to the basket. She rebounds out of her area and is a good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='558925' first='Raquel' last='Wilson'] Show Low (Pictured)

One of the standouts from Section-7 was Wilson. She is a versatile scorer who handles the ball well. She can easily play on or off the ball and will distribute the ball when needed. I have a feeling she will be more of a scorer this year from mid-range and in and she is hard to cover with her touch and burst.

[player_tooltip player_id='605115' first='Ady' last='Hoopes'] Pima

A tall post player with great strength. She could be one of the breakout players of all the small schools as she played a little last year and should double her scoring and rebounding production. She gobbles up all rebounds in her area and has a good feel for the game to make plays out of the double team.

[player_tooltip player_id='605114' first='Ellysia' last='Cutter'] San Carlos

An all-around guard at a small school is usually asked to do many things, and she can. She will defend multiple positions, make plays for her teammates and be one of the leading scorers on the team. She hustles more than the typical guard with loose balls and all the 50/50 plays. She is fast in the open with quickness with the ball in her hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='582392' first='Rylie' last='Llyods'] Phoenix Country Day

Rylie did not get the heavy minutes but when she comes in the game, she always seems shot ready and wants to compete. She is best when she catches and shoots it from the three point line and she can straight line drive to the basket.

We are up to 76 rising juniors for the 2025 class. There are some obvious big school stars but here are some small school standouts that I wanted to mention. This is a very good group of small school standouts.
