Many new players were discovered since the AIA/Grind Session playoffs when Cedric Cobb Sr and I took over and many more will be discovered as we make our trek around the state this upcoming season.
Our goal at PrepGirlsHoops is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues, Arizona Top-250 EXPO, Southwest Basketball Camp and during the AIA/Grind Session seasons.
Our next update will be sometime before the AIA season and then update again after the season like we are doing now.
Notes
1. This class has a couple stars at the top currently and some are also trending up in that way. We added some great additions to the rankings including Trinity Jones Trinity Jones 5'7" | PG Desert Vista | 2025 State AZ , Carmella Gallardo Carmella Gallardo 5'8" | SG Seton Catholic | 2025 State AZ and Demetria Dosela Demetria Dosela 5'11" | PF Miami | 2025 State AZ to name a few.
2. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the Grind Session and the AIA obviously has its own different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on local independent circuits. So you put all that information together and create the rankings.
3. Of the 76 players we have 15 PG’s, 11 SG’s, 15 CG’s, 16 SF’s, 13 PF’s and only 5 C’s.
