Many new players were discovered since the AIA/Grind Session playoffs when Cedric Cobb Sr and I took over and many more will be discovered as we make our trek around the state this upcoming season.
Our goal at PrepGirlsHoops is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues, Arizona Top-250 EXPO, Southwest Basketball Camp and during the AIA/Grind Session seasons.
Our next update will be sometime before the AIA season and then update again after the season like we are doing now.
Notes
1. This class is off to a great start and it will be interesting to see how many more make that big impact on their HS teams this year.
2. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the Grind Session and the AIA obviously has its own different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on local independent circuits. So you put all that information together and create the rankings.
3. Of the 40 players we have 9 PG’s, 7 SG’s, 6 CG’s, 5 SF’s, 9 PF’s and only 4 C’s.
