I floated remotely into different divisions and I was quite a few players who just left me awed by some of the things they did, especially when and how they did it and here’s a recap of my Game Changers, 4 coming from a double overtime thriller
Grace Booth Grace Booth 5'10" | SG Glen Rose | 2024 State TX -5’11 SG (Glen Rose) Shock ‘ last=”]ers’] 2024 [2024]
Booth falls into players I call THE GLUE because she helps keep everything together no matter what. Yes, she can score multiple ways but she changes the complexion of games by hitting the boards in crucial moments, getting that huge steal, or just applying heat defensively. Her mental toughness is second to none and she helped keep her team in ir
Mady Shield Mady Shield 5'5" Throckmorton | 2024 TX – 5’6 PG (Throckmorton) Shock ‘ last=”]ers’] 2024 [2024]
Shield is a heady PG that falls into several things I consider GAME CHANGING. First of all, she understands how to control the tempo and when to push it at the right time but her court vision always stands out as she’s vocal on the court and directs teammates to where she wants them. She’s also fearless and not afraid to take the” BIG SHOT” which happened to be a 3 and sent the game into the first overtime
DaNae Crosby DaNae Crosby 5'6" | PG Braswell | 2024 State TX -5’7 SG ( Team Stay Ready 2024) Braswell [2024]
Crosby is one of the toughest guards in Texas, she understands how to use her athleticism on both ends and her energy level stays the same which helps CHANGE the GAME because it trickles over to her teammates. She outrebounds taller players, she dives on the floor for loose balls and those are sparks that changed the momentum yet her explosiveness to score off the dribble was huge, and so was her defense “on the ball”
Aaliyah Scott Aaliyah Scott 5'6" | PG Lewisville | 2024 State TX -5’6 PG ( Team Stay Ready 2024) Lewisville [2024]
Scott is another heady PG that understands how to run her team and also how to settle it down. She doesn’t get flustered by pressure, that was apparent as her clutch free throws in overtime helped secure the win, that’s a big Game Changer but watching her see the floor and hit teammates with on-the-money passes several times was big. Her unselfishness always stands out and she can score
Julieta Diaz Julieta Diaz 6'2" | C Westmoore High School | 2026 TX -6’2 C (Westmoore) Team HQ 2025 [2026]
Diaz sent a message early by using her size along with her college-ready frame to set the tone. Her hands and footwork around the basket and finishing strongly helped get her squad going early but her improvement has also been a GAME CHANGER because when you consider her upside, she’s going to be hard to handle. She also ran the floor on both ends and rebounded, on both ends
Abbie Kate Jacobs-5’6 PG (Prestonwood) Athletic Elite Basketball 2024 [2024]
Jacobs saw the floor as well as any player on opening day that I caught and I’m talking in the half-court set, as well as in transition but her court vision in the open court created several sparks for her team. She throws her passes with authority in traffic but she also did a good job attacking the basket to score as well as dish
Chloe Woodson-5’5 PG (Carver Middle School) EYG ‘ last=”] 2028 [2028]
Woods was called a #D1Lock by me a couple of years ago and with her receiving her first scholarship offer a couple of weeks ago, to a D1 school, my crystal ball is still crystal clear. Initially, it was her “poise under pressure” playing up, and trust me I know what I’m looking at, and seeing her take over games offensively like she did in the blink of an eye, was a game. Her pull-up jumper is nice, and so are her acrobatic finishes but she defends and plays the passing lane
