The event was held from July 21-24 and featured some of the top travel teams from California and from out of state. I was able to attend the event on Sunday, July 23 and I focused on as many of the CA teams as I could. Here’s a look at some additional top standouts I saw.
1.
Leah Sarabia

– Leuzinger/Sports Academy Swish Derek Fisher 17U National 2024
I’ve seen Sarabia play a couple of times now and it’s clear that she’s worked on becoming a top-notch ball-handler and playmaker. She’s become more of a combo guard now, capable of being the lead ball-handler and being a scoring option as well. Her passes are on target and she makes quick decisions with the ball in her hands. Offensively, she’s been a good catch and shoot three-point shooter and can get to the basket.
2. MacKenly Randolph – Sierra Canyon/Sports Academy Swish 17U EYBL 2024
What’s always stood out to me about Randolph is her passing and decision making. She’s always been a versatile scorer. She can score in the paint and she can step out and shoot the ball. But her reads are advanced for a big. She can handle the ball in transition and often starts the break. Sees teammates in the halfcourt. She’s a willing and unselfish passer. Sets good screens too.
3.
Mimi Moon

– Pacifica(Oxnard)/Sports Academy Swish 16U 805 2025
Moon is very capable of being a lead guard and has seen her recruitment pick up this summer. She’s an unselfish playmaker; sees the floor in transition especially well and keeps her head up on the break. She pushes the ball well and looks to get to the basket. Good body control to finish around bigger defenders. Consistent shooter from three-point range with quick release and good shooting mechanics.
4. Jadalyn Claros – Fairmont Prep/West Coast Elite 17U 2024
Claros is a quick little point guard. She can get past her defender and into the paint. Able to kick the ball back out once the defense collapses. Very quick first step. Uses head fakes and hesitation moves to get to the basket. Good faking the DHO and turning the corner. She can finish well at the basket. She has a quick release on her shot and can knock down the three off the catch.
