The National Championship wrapped up the second evaluation period in July in Orlando and several Florida Players were named to the All-Tournament team.
2024 Aqua Division
Kayla Nelms Kayla Nelms 6'1" | PF Miami Country Day | 2024 State FL ( Miami Suns Team Fowles)
Nelms is a strong, versatile post player who has a unique ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots at a high percentage. She plays very physical down low, consistently competing down low for low post position, rebounds, and just generally establishing an interior presence. She does a great job keeping balls alive, and really has the ability to turn games around when she gets hot from the 3-point range. Showcasing her versatility, when she is not letting it fly from 3, she has the ability to attack off the dribble and finish through contact. She had a strong July and was the statistical leader in multiple events in points, rebounds, and field goal percentage.
Eris Lester Eris Lester 5'10" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL ( Miami Suns Team Fowles)
Watch Lester for five minutes, and you will find out what all the hype is about. She is an elite level athlete with superb athleticism. She is a smooth, shifty guard who can take her defender off the dribble at will. She gets to the rim frequently and often and finishes around the rim at an exceptional high percentage, and scores high above the rim, finishing through contract and gets to the free throw line often. Using her athleticism, and exception vertical, Lester crashes the boards and rebounds the ball well from the perimeter position. She was one of the leading rebounders all summer in all events she played in!
2024 Blue Division
Dezuray McGill Dezuray McGill 6'2" | C American Heritage | 2025 State FL (Below the Rim)
McGill is a strong post player with great size and mass that played up in the 2024 division as she is a class of 2025 prospect. For Below the Rim she provided a strong interior presence, and really held down the paint. She can post up on the low block, step out to the mid post and high post with 15 feet range and the ability to attack off the bounce and get to the rim. Her offensive skill set and production continue to improve and she should be looked at as one of the top front court players in the class of 2025.
2025 Aqua Division
Jaelynn Housey ( Miami Suns Select)
Housey height and body are impressive. She is super strong, with broad shoulders, big calfs and quads, and explosiveness when she puts the ball to the floor and decides she wants to attack and get to the rim. She has a high motor, plays with super activity level and an aggressive nature. She consistently plays with no fear, playing downhill and constantly attacking the rim, and has 3-point range that make her a very challenging matchup.
